This can cause the skin to then peel off or just cause it to die so it is usually better to use warm or room-temp water.

Honestly that makes sense because people who are depressed tend to hide it behind fake smiles and forced laughter and use jokes to change topics. Or maybe it’s that everyone laughs at their smallest mistakes that made them feel so unloved and unwanted. I have a friend with depression.. but I’ll help them though it to the best of my capability, just the same as they help me through my anxiety.

I have a friend who is "the popular girl". Many people hate her but I just feel bad for her because her parents are never around. We've been friends for a long time and they only showed up to like...maybe one of her birthday parties and even then they were there for 2 hours and then went somewhere else. (Btw, her birthday parties rock. She always finds these really fun places to celebrate like quests or some restaurant (when we were younger) with animators. Idk how her parents could skip them.) Yeah, she's kind of spoiled and can sometimes be mean, but her parents' gifts are basically all she ever gets from them. And to be honest, I would have probably ended up the same if I had her parenting.

Tl;dr at the bottom... The concept of public education is important. Creating a baseline level of education that an entire population has access to is critical to the advancement of a country. You use basic skills learned in school (spelling, grammar, math, etc.) every day. The issue, at least with the US education system, is the execution. A proficiency in math, language, science, and history is good. However, after graduating a short 6 years ago, I've never had to find the area of a circle. I've never had to recite the full names of generals who died in wars 100s of years ago. I've never had to correctly identify the parts of a cell. I've written essays, sure, but only because I moved on to college; I probably wouldn't need that skill otherwise. There's a lot of wasted time in the school system. I could've been learning about taxes, which is something I still don't have complete competence over, but instead I learned the quadratic equation (which, like the above, has also had no use for me). The reason these classes go into so much depth on a subject is so a student can find the field they want to work in easier, which is logical. However, if a student clearly has no interest in a subject, there are no "real-life" useful courses that they can take as an alternative. I could also go over the regurgitation educational style most classes use, but that would make this comment far longer than it needs to be. Tl;dr, you learn good basics in school, but also learn a bunch of garbage that you will never use again.

@@PBVjon199 I can tell you from 1st to 12th grade imo I recall maybe like 50% of it, the rest was pretty much a blur. I agree with the other comment, homeschooling to me would've been way more useful.
