In the first installment of our Fashion Week coverage, we are taking a look at some of the designers who showed during New York Fashion Week. There was Christian Siriano's take of Margot Robbie's "Birds of Prey" movie as well as Peter Do, the up and coming Céline alumni that everyone is talking about. New York's Fashion Prince, Christopher John Rogers showcased commercial staples and Project Runway's Brandon Maxwell keeps trying to be the next big American brand, but has very little to actually say. LaQuan Smith, another young favorite showed slink and sex, but it didn't exactly hold up well and Oscar de la Renta missed the mark when they tried to tap into Truman Capote's famous "Black and White party" from the 1960's. Prabal Gurung shone when channeling New York's energy and Marc Jacobs was a dud, even though he got Miley Cyrus to walk his show. All in all, the New York brands need some help!
