Roatán, Honduras is an island that is located 40 miles off the north coast of mainland Honduras and it is the largest of the Honduras Bay Islands. In this video, we’ll provide an overview of our December 2019 visit to Roatán, when our ship -- the Norwegian Escape -- docked at the Port of Roatán, which is located at the town center of Coxen Hole. During our visit , we booked an excursion through an independent tour operator and visited a children’s home, an animal park sanctuary, a chocolate factory, a rum factory, and more.

We loved Roatan. We were there in Nov. 2019. We also did the Animal Park Sanctuary and held a SLOTH! The highlight of the whole 7 day cruise. Love your videos! Keep them coming!

Me and my daughter have our very first cruise coming up in December with royal Caribbean on symphony of the seas. We are wanting to visit all the ports most beautiful beaches at each location. Roatan honduras, Costa maya and cozumel Mexico. If anyone here can give me any tips to beaches they've been to in those locations I'd great appreciate it! 💕

Thank you! As you likely know, resources about the Port of Roatan (Coxen Hole) are difficult to find. We recommend checking the Roatan Tourism Bureau's website periodically to see if they've provided any updated information about the construction/expansion: roatantourismbureau.com/port-of-roatan

March 4th? I 'll be on that cruise. I was thinking of going to the East end and taking a mangrove tour and stopping at the The Hole In The Wall. Just wish I knew how to scuba dive because that looks incredible!
