This proves Rob could sing too. Seen many ppl say that Fab was the one who got the voice and not so much for Rob, that is so untrue. He had a decent voice and could have improved even more given a little practice. It's a shame what happened to him, just breaks my heart.. Rip Rob

It is clearly obvious that BOTH LOVED music and were passionate about it. But of course… the producer can make or break real talent... Rob & Fab didn't deserve to be treated like shit… And this is a damn good Song.

This WAS their real voices!! Amazing! I never knew they had a real performance outside of the Arsenio Hall show in 1992. ...but I never knew Rob & Fab were working with Frank Farian after the scandal (not counting the album they were working on in 1998 when Rob died) I had thought they cut themselves off from Frank immediately after they had to give the Grammy back. I guess he was basically their only connect to the music business, and used them over and over.

This is a great performance. There's also another performance of this song on Spanish TV. Turns out Frank was just a guest and did not assist them with the song's production. I believe they recorded right after the scandal in 1990-1 and promoted it via performances to let the world know, " We can sing". Unfortunately it ddn't go anywhere and the US was/is still unaware of this song. They only know of the "doomed" Rob and Fab project which came after this song. They really believed in that project and tried to get ppl to get ready for it via that funny gum commercial and a cameo on MC Hammer's 2 legit 2 quit video. They also tried promoting their single on Arsenio Hall show which got rave reviews but the album still tanked due to: 1) poor management 2) lack of resources 3) lack of money to print copies 4) ppl boycotting the project expecting bad results When the project flopped, Rob and Fab went their seperate ways. Fab sobered up and continued trying to make music while Rob got into crime and got deeper into drugs( one of the reasons he's barely on the Rob and Fab album). I personally don't believe the Back And In Attack album exists/ was ever recorded. Sources claim that it was a comeback album with both Rob and FAB (and the original singers on it). Nice fantasy huh? But I don't believe that was the case. Fab actually refused to work with Frank again and I'm not exactly sure what Frank was doing with Rob( Frank bailed hin out of jail and paid for rehab). But I really doubt the album exists since Fab never worked with Frank again

Rob and Fab have great voices.

Rob Pilatus' voice was close enough to the deeper tone of both of the ghost singers, that he could have credibly been passed off as the voice behind Milli Vanilli who does both the singing and rapping (as when rapping you naturally use a different voice than singing), aided by a big number of takes and studio mixing to explain why his studio performance is more on point. Fab could have been passed off as singing along the background vocals, but in order to make them more marketable as a duo, they had Fab lip-syncing to Rob's parts too. That's kinda what Wham did too, where Andrew Ridgley barely performed in any song other than background vocals. And then quietly trained their singing voices and let them actually perform more and more parts on future releases. If they really wanted to, they could have gone that route if they really wanted to and if everyone involved kept silent about the truth, or only came out with it years after the hype already died down. But they definitely could have kept going with hits for a few more years in the 90s. Keep on Running, which was supposed to be the lead single of the second album was still released before the scandal in Europe and for example in my home country Austria it went to number 2 and was the 9th best selling single of the year, indicating people were still hungry for more Milli Vanilli (in the US it only came out after the scandal and was billed under The Real Milli Vanilli and didn't make a dent).
