I just want to remind you that the actor Marcus Chong a.k.a "Tank the operator" was exploited by the wachowski brothers and warner bros. He was offered a total of only $250,000 for all 3 sequels, which he objected to and finally got arrested for allegedly threatening the studio. This is the dark side of Hollywood people. The sequel who have been a superhit with this actor.
Fun fact : At the begenning, Neo should have been interpreted by Will Smith, but he refuse because he thought that the scenario was too complicated. So, he featured in Wild Wild West
Thanks to Will Smith for refusinf the script, he was the chosen actor to play Neo... but not the the chosen one. I can't conceive The Matrix without Keanu Reeves, he nailed it.
I will always love this song because it reminds me of my dad. We would play it constantly in the car and drive all over just listening to it. Forever one of my favorites. Love you dad
It is actually based on 'The Enigma Variations', a piece by the British composer Edward Elgar. The Variation is called Nimrod. Check it out, it's wonderful! :) Have a nice day.
Likewise, i feel like 1999-2005 was a perfect era for the blend of tech and reality...cant really say the same for today..oh well, guess were all meant to be plugged in.
Imagine making a score for an action movie and accidentally making a masterpiece I don’t actually know if this song was written for the movie or just selected for it but it’s kick arse and beautiful at the same time.
This was one of my favorite songs to the matrix since my childhood when I was 8 years old watching this on VHS sure does bring back memories my brother still loves this song, and the movie very much I still love the line Morpheus was giving Neo about the Matrix is a system. It's 2018 and I still am listening and loving this song.
This upload is significantly better quality than the green pictured one on youtube with millions of hits, its very apparent with a mid-fi headphone set up, so thanks
I see this song in my recommendation after watching Matrix for the 10th time this year, I play it while I’m in the kitchen at 2 In the morning. I turn to the left and see my door open to my back garden after vividly remember closing it 30 minutes ago.
God what a song and soundtrack. This and the Spawn soundtrack I used to play the shit out of back in high school. I'm 38 this was played a lot my senior year in high school man.
Reminds me of when i was in mid school; our gym teacher used to play this song during dance class... I spent almost 2 years looking for it, until i found out Matrix movies' existence... what a fool I was
In April 1999 four young teenagers decided to watch this movie. Changing their lives by creating an everlasting memory. RIP my friend. I'll wake up from the Matrix to join you eventually.
though unfortunate that I couldn't find it in Spotify, I still have the mp3 of this song that I've be listening to on repeat ever since The Matrix Resurrections trailer came out
Man, my old man gave me the soundtrack out of this box set he got for his birthday when I was 7 or 8. It was all I listened to! Rage Against The Machine, Deftones, Rob Zombie, Etc.. Definitely sparked my love for heavy music, and such an iconic film 🤟🤟
I love this piece, though sound design-wise, it's showing its age today. Everyone has these soundfonts for free. Despite this, the emotional story the song tells is relevant today. I'd criticize it, but with the tools I have at my fingertips now, I can't quite equal this song's significance. 1999-2001 was an interesting couple of years. If I had a time machine, I'd take my laptop and an mp3 of this song, and travel back to when the time machine was invented, because that's as far back as you'll be able to go.
Alejandro Contreras It's true that this guy shouldn't have criticized your comment just because it's bad written, but then again, there's no need to reply with such rudeness. If my english was bad, I'd try to improve it, so it becomes more natural and understandable, instead of giving a mediocre attitude such as "You got what I meant to say, so I don't need to write any better". Your english is not the problem, the thing is... that you're being rude, you certainly have to fix that attitude.
