Trey is simply an amazing guitarist!! I can’t believe anyone can be that fast and clean!! Rob is wonderful as well but Trey’s guitar playing blows me away!
That is amazing! That is what you call blazing! Very clean too! Do you have any advice for becoming a professional guitarist one day? Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent!😄🎸
Excellent as usual from you two. Rob is as clean as a hounds tooth and you are incredible. What I really like about you two is that you both know the difference between playing fast and playing well. Fast doesn't mean good and if you lose the song in the speed, you well, basically lost the song. That happens over and over when I hear banjo players attempt Earl Scruggs' "Foggy Mountain Breakdown". The recording here didn't do justice to either of your talents in my opinion, but rarely do these types of recordings do. I feel that this song, a Doc Watson staple for so many years, was in many ways left alone as he recorded and performed it, with a lot of his arrangement still in showing through. I appreciated that. Trey, you are, in my opinion, one of the rarest talents I will ever see in my lifetime and I feel blessed to have heard you play. Always a fan of you two guys and have been familiar with Rob's accomplishments for many years. Rob may not appreciate knowing this, but I have one of his very first signature Scheerhorn resonator guitars. I also had one of his 'Essential Techniques for Dobro" books. Between owning the guitar, the book, and having no less than Josh Swift try to teach me and gave me one on one, face to face lessons for almost a year, I still can't play a single tune on ANYTHING.
