Rob's style is still my favourite of any pro surfer. Not necessarily very show-ey or explosive, (i.e. not the kind of style that seems to win contests these days) but it has this really satisfying fluidity to it, and he always makes interesting choices on the wave rather than just hacking it to pieces and firing into a generic air at the end.

Just goes to show you that you can't blame the surf for not being able to surf shittier waves. Rob shows you can ride anything well if you got the right approach and necessary equipment. Too many people here complain about the shitty surf year-round (except maybe for winter). But you can make it all work
