Caught legend Rob Machado in the wild not long ago. Along with one of the best surf photographers ever, Todd Glaser. They scored some good ol morning ocean butter.
Just for comparison, back about 15 years ago, there's a shot of Rob in Surfer Mag in a death close out at Chopes. He's just under the freight train lip, and standing so casual it looks like he's at 3 foot Ranch. Unreal.
Not what I thought this was going to be. One of the best Surfers in the world, but this one made him look so and mortal haha. Definitely had the wrong board for that day.
