This is Rob Parker's First Interview since his "Cornball Brother" comments were made on ESPN's First Take Program about Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III Filmed with a Nexus 4 phone.
Funniest thing about it was that Rob Parker to me looks like the type of guy that some might call a "cornball brother". So for him to call someone that was just weird.
He is! But that's why he was on point with what he said. Cornball brothas know their own. And to wanna Be comedians suck a sick stoat scrotum if you dare try the linking comment yell
You do realize skin is just an organ of the body right that's it nothing more nothing less it's the idiots 200 300 years ago and the idiots today that make it something that it's not
Says a lot about the black community when being successful and educated and trying break down the "Us vs. Them" mentality is seen as a threat to their heratage.
Michael Robertson and how far did that honor roll take you? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're employed. But theres levels to that too, like what they make per game vs your annual salary lol
Stephen A. Smith set Rob up BIG TIME!!! He knew what the conversation was gonna be & where it was going. For him to respond as if he was shocked to hear Robs words was phony on his part.
how are people defending rob parker? dude basically says that RGIII is a traitor to his race if he doesnt date black women exclusively, vote democrat, and keep wearing braids. how about applauding the fact that he is an exceptional role model for kids in a time where NFL players are arrested seemingly nonstop. come on people
fooloof lol the world isnt like create a character in a video game, people can be nuanced and different from eachother. you dont have to mold every aspect of yourself to fit into some group. and for gods sake its hair. if MLK had died his hair blonde hed still be one of the greatest americans to ever live
Rob Parker is the only one came off as “slamming the kid”. His personal hatred towards athletes who have never met him are unreal. Still didn’t apologize for his remarks
Rob has said some questionable things about the black community. When I watched him say this about RG3 I thought, "now that's the pot calling the kettle...not black enough"
Fredrick biggers Why is he a cornball because he doesn't get arrested and say nigga all the time? Why because he actually has some respect? Why because he doesn't bow down to the democratic party that has enslaved black voters for a long time? Get it together bro
Like anyone has room to criticize another person but we do, what you think you have more of a right to call someone a cornball than Rob Parker does, it must be levels of who can an who can talk shit about other people.
i really feel sorry for my people who depend on these jobs, they will dangle the job over your head until they decide to terminate you. I wouldn't accept being controlled like that, would definitely go without. let them have it, just look what it cost John Saunders.
Last plantations what are you out of your mind. How is any possible way can you claim that people getting paid at minimum $15,000 dollars a game is even equivalent to being forced to work for basically sub standard room and bored or be killed?
Name me the minority CEOs of the Fortunate 500 Companies. Name me the minority owners in the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL. Name me the minority billionaires in the 1% club of America! I am out of my mind are you kidding me?
Yea man you're out of your mind. Professional athletes make more money than most people, slaves were forced to work and bought and sold. Furthermore every black CEO Rob Parker would call a sellout
Considering Rob Parker's background, I just find him to be kind of inarticulate. I think you get into trouble getting into this kind of thing on a sports show. Discuss his play, or if he does something stupid off the field that affects his team. But to get into issues of how black he is, his politics, the race/ethnicity of his fiance, you're asking for trouble. I think ESPN wasn't thrilled with Parker's work, so they used this as the excuse to show him the door.
@@trentonmcclintock7836 nah. People who believe that are the real corn balls. I'm so tired of black people sacrificing intelligence for gangster personas
espn was just shocked after hearing what they just heard stephen a smith was shocked skip just wanted to get clarification all rg3 wanted was to take the word black out of the word qb that's all and rob parker got butt hurt because of it and for that he paid the price
Finally, vindication for the hapless Rob Parker, who, in my opinion, was the most honest and insightful sports commentator on ESPN. He had the 'Henry Halls' to verbalise the locker room and 'barber shop' talk regarding the self promoting 'rookie' that was RG3. Looks like he was 'on the money' after all? Track athletes are a team of one! ME.
he got to comfortable on 1st take. You wasn't in the barbershop brother. This is Disney channel lol. The world is not ready to talk about race for real. Who don't know that. BTW funny how Skip was in a black barbershop to start his show.
Because he didn't he just said it in the wrong place, don't sit on here an act like you haven't said what some may take offense to about another black person we talk crap about each other all the time but it's called ribbing or cracking jokes about each other.
what's ironic is both ryan clark, jalen rose & marcellus wiley talk to these guys about name calling, and rob, skip and stephen a all defended it as "journalistic license" color so to speak......smh....sometimes experience is the best teacher
its called knowing the english language...he is speaking on television..you expect him to speak some type of slang...truthfully, i actually agree with parker, tho that is something you shouldnt have said on tv..with how pg a racial conversation can get
No, i'm saying YOU don't know what it means. You are just throwing out the term without having any idea what you are talking about. Which is why you can only speak in vague terms.
You still haven't refuted my original point. There are tons of examples of black celebrities that I could bring up to make this point, would you like a list? Drifting away from one's roots is to forget where one comes from, to forget one's origins. It actually has nothing to do with the things Parker brought up which is why I said he failed in his execution of the message. It has nothing to do with being republican or dating a white girl. It has to do with self-identification and self-awareness.
You say your "a brother" stay in reality,"if" is hyperbole. The fact is we,by the command of the CREATOR says HE wants HIS people to stay with each other
I think alot of people are still missing the point of what he was trying to say. Yes he failed in his execution of the message, but the point remains there. Alot of black celebrities and people of stature in general tend to drift away from their roots and being associated with being black. This has been an issue for years and the way black people keep sweeping it under the rug is diconcerting to put it best.
That racist crap needs to end. If RG3 is with a white girl so what; be with the person because you love the person not bout the color of someones skin. Time to use common sense and do the right thing people.
Watching RG3 in 2023… Rob Parker’s comments ring true .. RG3 is corny and not apart of the “culture” While we(black) are not a monolith , we know who’s for us and who wants to be not us!🤷🏾
Hold up RG3 says he doesn't want to be defined as a black QB, but Rob Parker is wrong for reporting that people were saying he's a cornball brother for saying that. any body in the NFL that damn dark is a BLACK whatever position he's playing, and thats what it is. if he was Japaness,Chinese or Korean he would be definied as an oriental player. being labeled Black is not a bad thing is what Rob was trying to say if yall didn't get it he said he was concerned, about what ,RG3 hatting his blackness
