throughout history, we have continued to become amazed by the ingenuity of middle-aged men when it comes to solving problems. No matter the problem, you just throw a few dozen middle-aged men from mixed background at the problem, soon it will seize to be a problem.
I'm sure they were relieved when Japan surrendered. Having just been at Okinawa they knew exactly what an invasion of the main Japanese islands would have been like.
For anyone wondering why the 77th went through TWO years of training in the States, it's because of the lack of shipping. MANY divisions didn't go overseas until the buildup for D-Day in early 1944 because why ship people to England in 1942 if they are just going to sit and, in the meantime, you have to use precious cargo ships to feed them there? Keep them in the States while you send all the equipment first so you can mate men to material just before D-Day. Same for the Pacific Theatre... One reason the US soldiers were so good once in combat was because for hundreds of thousands of them they trained, trained, trained for f'ing months and months and months before going overseas.
LOVELY Channel! (And ya got me *DROOLING* with all those wonderful foods in the intro.!) 😀 Absolutely LOVE "The Fat Electrician" and his way of sharing history! I agree with you 100% about his value as a Teacher! (He reminds me of my last History Teacher in H.S., who WAS a Veteran of D-Day, Normandy! He was a very easy going, soft spoken man, but he had a way of explaining things and encouraging his students to investigate for ourselves!) Growing up in a military family, with many Vets around, I never doubted the 'Effectiveness' of the Elder, esp. if they also happened to be Veterans! *GREAT* video, and such a wonderful 'Reaction' too! Thank you!
Thanks, my son/producer/editor/director/connection to today, put that together. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope you check out some of the cooking videos! Tell yer friends about the channel!
Yea, we're a little fxcked up down here, but at least our kind of fxcked up is based on a belief that everyone deserves the right to express that fxcked-upness equally 🤷😁
One thing The Fat Electrician even after his vid over and it goes to his Hazard symbol, he comes back for one more little nugget (it's always hilarious) it's like finding a Easter Egg 🥚😂 great reaction, good job on the bigger screen, please adjust the volume,I could barely hear Nic , aka TFE (The Fat Electrician) rocks on America History
Hey Rob, huge and long time TFE fan here. Gotta say you've got the best reactions to his content in my opinion. Though, Terry History is pretty darn good too.
Thanks so much Kevin! Bout three weeks I’m gonna review his latest. 1 I’m all about conservation and natural resources. 2. It’s Nice! I’m off volunteering at a camp for the next two weeks. But I have two videos that will come out on Monday’s as usual while I’m away.
@@OfficialRobDoherty Trust me I get it lol I've got some relatives currently living in Kentucky.... Yeah you can definitely tell. But hey you rock man!
@@UndeadJohnGaming thanks man. My channel is a mixture of Southern Cooking, local wildlife and reaction videos. Hope you will check out some of the other stuff. Oh yeah. And messing with my son.
I like the Brandon Herrera shirt!! Gonzales voted FOR all that money going to Ukraine, Isreal, and Taiwan with nothing for the border. He threw his own constituency under the bus.
@@OfficialRobDohertywell, this is a bummer. Brandon unfortunately missed winning the spot on Congress by roughly 400 votes. On the bright side, he’ll be able to put more time into his hobbies, so he should be happier.
@@Delpix722 Yeah from what I have seen on the Unsubscribe podcast he seems to be cool with it and thankful to all that supported him. He really was in it to teach a lesson. And that lesson was taught.
@@OfficialRobDoherty Was not expecting a response so soon. As for a lesson being taught? I’d argue that the lesson was only partially taught. Worries were definitely brought up, but the establishment’s main avenue of staying in power still allowed Gonzales to keep his position. For the lesson to actually stick, you would need someone like Brandon Herrera to win a spot in Congress over an established member that has shown to not support actions that would help the people in their district who voted for that person to represent their best interests.
@@Delpix722 I gotcha, it’s like Brandon was equating it to Leonitis and Czerczese in 300. He proved even Gonzales could bleed. Trust me. The establishment took notice.
Old guys are tuff compared to most young people who sit there on there ass playing x box or living on MacDonald people have got a lot softer over the years my family have been military for over 100 years my grandfathers were a different breed
Im an actual shit fighter. I can hold my own, but by no means do i look for fights. Thats why now, i just carry 2a. I dont need to be honorable, i just need to be the one walking away 😂
error error will robinson. If u put in just 29 yr ur pension uis 1/2 of that u were making to get qa full pension u need to be in for 30 yr. So try again. put out a correction.
Us Ozzie's have fought with America since ww1 yes we need them as we only have 26 million people and 7 million are Asian so most of them are not at the same level yes they can run shouting bonsai or what ever they scream while there getting shot but our small army has stood out in many battles every American thats fought with Australian soldiers will say they are tuff good fighters America has the biggest and well armed army but by themselves would have had trouble in ww2 and ww1 even veitnam they had help and if the big wigs stayed out of it and left it to the soldiers they probably would have won most American soldiers are well trained but so are the English French new Zealand army's that have stood with America we need each other to stop these mental dictaters from winning and running the world
Fat Electrician is terrific, and will only get better as he pursues his degree in history...but nobody is perfect and he says a couple of things that are not really correct in this one. For one thing, US public opinion towards the war did not stay the same from 1939 to 1941 as Fat Electrician describes at 7:48...Gallup polling data proves that it shifted sharply towards favoring US entry into the war by November 1941. FDR's ability to get the draft passed in September 1940 and then Lend Lease in March of 1941 tracks with the US public's shift of attitude towards doing more and more to help defeat Germany, even at the risk of being forced to actually get into the war. By November of 1941, 68 percent of Americans said it was more important for Germany to be defeated than it was for the US to stay out of the war...sources for this data are readily available on the web. Also...TIK did a great video on why Bitchler had to declare war on the USA that you really should watch. Short version is that Germany already had "touched the boats" by sinking US merchants and warships in the Atlantic, and Germany needed to touch a LOT more of them if they were to have any chance to defeat the British or the Soviets...or anyone else for that matter.
