Thank you. Really enjoyed the video. Love you blend of humour and information. Can’t wait for the rest. 👍🏻

Thanks DS. Humour and information, I guess that sums me up pretty well actually. Too much of either one can be a bore, so I am conscious not to over-do it. Thanks for the compliment. PS - Unfortunately my friends and family don’t get the edited version in real life and are often bored to tears! 😂

Thank you for the compliments sir! 🙏 I appreciate that. I do enjoy planning the vids in advance, the different shots, what to say to camera, how to make it flow, add some humour and spontaneous things that we all like to see. Mind you, I don’t like the editing as much, it takes forever….

Thanks for sharing Justin. Aberfoyle is such a pleasant little town and you got a great view over Loch Venachar and Ben Ledi. So many trails have been blocked with treefall recently and it was good to see them put up a diversion. Oh, and it does rain in Scotland !

It´s good to be on the way with you again... Well done video as always 🙂 Looking forward for the next parts. Funny thing: It was my first time to see backpipers "live" while being in Drymen. They played for a wedding ceremony. Good memories... Liebe Grüße Beda

Thank you. It was inspiring to do a long hike again. It’s a unique feeling, not like a day hike. Knowing you will be in a different place each night on a bigger adventure. Always going forward rather than going back. I love that feeling…. Yes, a pipe band is quite an experience live! You can feel the vibrations in your chest and the sound is remarkable. No wonder they used it in the past before battle. Some people hate the sound though, so I turned the volume down and only included a few seconds in the video! 😂

It is a rather good trail. It’s sad it’s not used as much as the WHW. It was a splendid route to bikepack too.

@@JustinWhiting9 Hello, yes, I spent 2 Days in Comrie to see the camp and visit the nearby Distillery. It was totally worth to take 2 Days break. I walked between 28. of April and 6. of May, I had some changing Scottish Weather. Afterwards I spent a few days in Pitlochry and the Weekend in Edinburgh. Just arrived yesterday.

@@JustinWhiting9 I do really enjoy the editing Justin but my last section on the Cambrian way is taking ages as I haven’t had time even though I’m retired 🤣I think those rainy days spent indoors are best for editing.

"Does it ever rain in Scotland?" exactly my thoughts when I walked this years the West Highland Way, most probably at the same time you walked the Rob Roy Way. :D Thank you for inspiration. I am planning to walk the Rob Roy way next year in May.

Thanks! 👍 Actually, I have been lucky. Across 25 days hiking in total in Scotland, it rained lightly for 1.5 days only. “Does it ever rain in Scotland?” Is becoming my catchphrase! 😂

Great Video. I’ve just finished the Rob Roy Way a week ago and I think I saw you on the trail! Did you leave your water bottle on a fence post and have to turn back for it? (Somewhere between the Falls of Acharn and Aberfeldy).

It was quite funny because when I saw you turning back it made me think we had both gone the wrong way lol, its only when you pointed to the fence that I twigged it. The heat was brutal that day, I'm glad you remembered to retrieve it. I thought I recognised you at the time but I couldn't remember where from, then I saw your video today and remembered I've watched your EHW series a few times. You passed us earlier that same day and I commented to my Mum that you looked like an experienced hiker, turns out I was correct. Congratulations on completing the RRW and congratulations on filming the whole thing, especially in that heat. Im really looking forward to watching the rest of your videos as they come out. What did you think of the RRW compared to the other trails you have done?
@JustinWhiting9
@JustinWhiting9 10 месяцев назад
Thank you 🙏 Well, nobody has yet recognised me on trail and said hello so that would have been a first 😁 That section was tougher than I expected because it kept going up and down the hillside. The Burks of Aberfeldy were beautiful at the end though 👌 Take a look also at my short teaser video of the whole RRW trail on my channel. I would say it is one of the easier trails, mostly flat with no big hills to climb. I enjoyed it though, terrific scenery in the Trossachs. 🤠
