Nothing like getting to interview someone who, not only has the name card father for good reason, but loves to share his story with the rarest of the hobby. What a episode.
Have new found respect for Rob, incredible how he was able to build that shop to what it is today. Never been to Cali but hope to visit the shop someday. Great interview!
Great discussion. Really appreciate you putting this together and sharing. Fully agree Rob deserves another interview...I am down for part 2, part 3, part 4, etc...
This is a great podcast. Youve got alot of history, knowledge and experience from all the guests youve had on... thoroughly enjoyed each episode. I was down at Burbank Cards last month and Rob and his staff, including his pops and son, were all amazing people. positive vibes all day, good shiz Sasha.
Very enjoyable conversation! Great work as a facilitator Sasha. After watching this and other conversations is to get two chairs angled slightly towards each other instead of the couch…maybe just me.
Love your videos my dude keep up the great content.. I made my way to Burbank and sold my Pokemon collection to them because of you.. thanks man... I have a box of priced cards already toploaded ready to sell but I'm having my second baby in 4 days I won't have time to go to shows all day like I was before to sell my cards ... I'll give them to you for 50% off eBay comps
Great content as always. Constructive criticism: try avoid saying “like, um, and uh” during these discussions. I’d also suggest removing the mics from in front of your face due to killing the aesthetic. Keep up the good work 🤙🏻
Only way you're getting a hobby box for $100, is if they produce SO many cards, that the value is just SO low... that you can only charge $100 for the box. When that happens... you are SO far into junk wax era cards... that nobody will want them anymore. $100 hobby boxes sound great, until you really think about the math involved in making it happen.
This was a good interview, but only because of Rob's stories. He didn't let Sasha talk much... which is what made the interview. Sasha needs to get back to his bread and butter, because he is not a good interviewer.
