It feels like Zombie's Halloween came out just a few years ago, so I felt a bit of shock at seeing just how grown he is! Lol, I can't believe the movie came out 12+ years ago... fuck, time flies by!

I like elements of his version but the cursing was not needed and Lori's character isn't as tough as the real lori. But I think first remake is alright, the second is dumb. I'll say the Hospital scene at the beginning was great to start the film but then it goes down hill after that.

I think the point in the RZ one was to make the viewer empathise with Michael and show the emotions he was going through (he was more sociopathic than psychopathic in the RZ series). For instance he didn't want to kill his sister in this series, he was looking for her because he missed her. To be honest I like that they're so different to the original. What pisses me off with remakes is when they're carbon copies of the original. It's so pointless and I never understood why people want remakes to perfectly echo the original. I say leave the original alone, make a remake your own thing, which RZ did.

Todd Garver Agree Agree Agree! Was NOT a fan of the RZ's films. It was kind of a slap in the face to the original to hear young Michael even admit that he hadn't seen any of the films, and to admit he had only watched a little bit of the Original.
