Hi there, this is the PNP version. I removed the motor a while back for a subscriber to check the motor rating but the motor has no markings on it. Check the comments as I give the dimensions of the motor. Some suggested in the comments that the motor in the PNP is different from the motor drive kit that is sold separately. I am not sponsored by Robbe so I can give you an honest review, they are a fantastic model and build quality is 10 out of 10. Thank you for your comment 👍
@@IspettoriCQ yes it’s the PNP also. I have also bought an upgraded motor to fit for more speed but I will do a video with the standard PNP motor first.
Guys any updates on what motor you think might be used in this PNP kit? I am thinking of doing a transplant for more speed, is this something you’s would be interested in?
I'm waiting for robbe-lindinger to get the pnp version in stock at the end of Aug but it won't arrive here in western Canada before our flying season ends. I'll be using the stock motor and servos so mine will not be as fast as yours. Why does your vid start with the robbe red/blue version then change to the tomahawk yellow colour scheme for launch then back to red/ blue for flying then yellow? Very confusing as to what we're watching. Thanks for posting and hope you post a few more of your mistral flying.
Hi Geordie NUFC, they are a great model and you will definitely enjoy. Sorry for the colour changes in the clips, it’s my video editing as the clips colour correction was done on each clip rather than doing one colour correction as a whole so that’s why it looks a slightly different colour in some of the clips. I hope your wait isn’t to long for your model. Thanks
Hello, as you confirmed in the comments that it seems to be another motora than the RO-Power 3522 motor 1000kv I also would be very interested to know the motor type you have installed. Hope you will do us a favor and dismount the motor to check... Telemetry data for the voltage and current or power would be welcome too. What capacity is your 4S lipo ? Thank you !
Hi there, yes I will get some time to do the check this weekend and post them for all too see. The batteries I use is the zippy compact 3300 35c 4s lipo. The battery dimensions are a perfect snug fit that requires 1mm to be filed of the front on the battery bay to allow it to fit but with this battery the cg is almost perfect .
@@torquedude Thanks a lot, according to the specs your lipo size is 145x44x25, do you think a 140x42x30mm would fit (5mm higher) ? How long can you fly with the 4S3300, of course it is depending on the way you are flying...
Hi Patrick, sorry I give you the wrong info on my battery as I lifted the wrong one. The battery I use is actually a zippy compact 2650 mah 45c 4s 44x135x29mm. I wouldn’t recommend any large as it’s a tight fit. I also did the motor tests and on the bench the motor pulled 64A at 14.5v making an rpm of 74339. I also removed the motor to find that it has a black can with the only marking “ HMEJ “ , the motor dimensions are 48x35.2mm. I hope this helps you find the same type motor👍
@@jetpathar you very welcome. I also meant to give you info on flight time, I will normally get around 8 to 10 minutes if I am doing multiple full throttle passes but if I just go for a relaxing cruising flight I can get up to 20 mins so it really depends on how you fly the plane.
Hello! Please write what motor and propeller do you use? I don’t think it’s necessary to make a secret out of it. We all communicate for this, that to help each other, to learn something new, to learn in the end ... Please write. Thank you for your reply earlier.
Hi , sorry not so hot on replying to my comments. The motor and prop are robbe’s recommend but the esc used is not. I have used the frsky neuron esc for telemetry purposes. I fly with a little reflex added also. These are fast airframes out of the box and using the recommended running gear gives super results on 4s. Thanks
@@torquedude Thank you very much for the answer! You want to say that the flight that you see on the video was carried out on a RO-Power 3522 motor (1000 kV) and a Carbon folding propeller 11x8 "? Did I understand you correctly?
Looks like not ... Lindinger has a photo of the rear of the motor in PNP version. This photo does not correspond to RO-POWER TORQUE 3522 1000 KV. It is recommended for the ARF version, but the PNP has a different motor. Please compare and you will be convinced ... Please correct me if something is wrong. RO-POWER TORQUE 3522 1000 KV is rather weak for this glider. I have a previous version of this airframe MISTRAL and I installed RO-POWER TORQUE 3522 1000 KV on it, but it does not fly with it enough ... I would like to know which engine you have in the PNP version. And more ... - I saw that you have Jeti, can you tell me what current and power your telemetry shows?
@@glg-b7h you have me intrigued now. I checked my airframe and to my surprise the end of my motor can is silver but looking at the ro-power 3522 1000kv on line it should be black. The rear of the motor is also a different shape. I’m almost certain when I got the kit I had to install the motor but I no longer have the boxes that came with it. I can’t see the motor spec as it is a tight fit so I might remove it at the weekend to see what type it is. I will test the amp draw and rpm via telemetry also.
