+Riley G Kiermier. Idk if you watch the Blue Jays much, but for every two AMAZING catches Pillar makes, there's a bonehead mistake/slight error on the next one. Human highlight reel, I'm not sure about the Gold Glove. Didn't use that good arm of his that much this year too if i remember correctly. My two cents.
that endy chavez catch vs the Cards will forever be one of my favorite sports moments, I was at that game, everyone literally went quiet when that ball hit the bat, we thought it was gone for sure and then he caught it the atmosphere was unreal I get chills just thinking about it
@@bagofgroceries Wise barely had time to come into the game before he made the home run saving catch that saved Buehrle's perfect game. The look on Buehrle's face was I don't believe it.
one of the best plays in baseball. if not the best. love it! thank you. love all your vids! thnx. love to you from brooklyn that kenny lofton ish was crazy tho wow and griffey sr? fuggedaboutit
Love reed johnsons grab! Robbing a Grand Slam is ridiculous! Is it just me or does it seem like between the first video and this, Prince Fielder is the batter on 3 or more robs. Kinda funny.
Commentator: That is the play of the year! You'll never see anything like it this year, or the next, maybe even for a decade! Bronxbomber: *proceeds to make a fifteen minute long video with plays just like it*
great stuff, mookie betts had a nice one against chris davis of the orioles in 2015. it ended the game and saved a complete game shut out for rich hill.
Pillar's catch in Toronto, Hunters catch in Cleveland and Snyders catch in Pit are top 3 in my opinion. Trout's are awesome, but low walls. Honorable Mention - Mathews Jr, Loften (both) and Otis Nixon.
Calls 911... Operator: 911 what's your emergency Me: I have been robbed! Operator: what got stolen? Me: my career Operator: excuse me? Me: my career got robbed by a home run. Operator: Sir are you drunk? Me: No I play baseball. "Operator hangs up" Me: Hahaha gets them every time.
wow i just realized that his son was playing when he was thats cool srry if someone of u already knew that i didnt really pay attention when he was around cuz i was a kid then
I don't understand why base runners sprint down the bases when its a homer. I mean, if its gone, you are free to just jog, theres no gain from sprinting. just wait near the bag and see if its gone or caught. they should add this to practice
ALG32705 Again, play the game first. That is not true at all!!! Your gonna just sit there on a ball in the gap? No your not. A ball hit to the wall isn't going to be caught unless its a mile in there air. Remember Endy Chavez catch? If Scott Rolen didn't get doubled up then its either a bad throw or piss poor base running. If the ball looks like it's gonna drop they you put yourself in positiontion to score once it does.
did you not see the double plays because of poor baserunning? also, like previously stated, I do play baseball. a smart base runner treats a home run like a far fly ball, you go to a safe distance, wait for it to play out, and make a decision on whgat to do when the ball is either caught, hits the ground, or is out of the park
matt atherton A far fly ball is a far fly ball. You can tell when a ball is going to the wall. You can tell when the only play they make is going to be a low percentage one. You guys obviously don't understand. A high fly ball to warning track to totally not what I am talking about. I am talking about the ball that was hit on Endy Chavez's play. You're gonna tell me your just gonna stand half way? BS, Scott Rolen tried to score on a ball that had a 95% of falling.
Votto said after that game that maybe Gomez was trying to fake a catch to get Votto out of the base path so he couldn't run the bases and score the go-ahead run, but he stopped when he saw that Gomez DID make the catch
Why couldn't some of these plays been made against Aaron fucking Boone or fucking Bucky Dent. As a Seahawks fan as well the Butler int didn't even compare to Aaron Boone. I wasn't alive for Bucky dent but the fact my dad never wants to talk about it proves how bad it was.
Did Votto seriously argue that the ball was not in Gomez's glove? He is literally the only player in all of these clips that actually whined after getting their homer robbed. What a sissy baby Votto is.
Was I the only one that saw that most of the catches were by blacks, that proves that black people are just as good and equal to whites #no more segregation
