What about Endy Chavez in the NLCS in 2006? What about Ryan Braun vs the Giants in 2010? What about Torii Hunter robbing Barry Bonds in the 2002 All-Star Game? You're missing some of the best of them.
There are two kinds of players. Ones that make amazing plays and don't give themselves much credit, and then the ones that make good players and give themselves a lot of credit.
As a young tigers fan back in the day I remember watching Curtis Granderson snag a home from a Indian can't remember who hit it but that was one of the most beautiful plays I ever seen as a kid
How could you not have Gary Mathews Jr. on here. He turned around on the fence and caught with his head away from the ball. Still the best catch I've ever seen.
The first one had me screaming at the top of my lungs "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU JUST GOT ROBBED!!!!!"
Just one of the many reasons baseball is awesome and to many people just think it’s boring and slow paced. Post season baseball is the best so much emotion and effort goes on and everything is mesmerizing. I love football and basketball but like I said playoff baseball is the best to watch and always will be.
Does anyone else find funny that the center fielder of the Athletics has the name of a cereal (or at least sounds like it)? His parents have a hell of a sense of humor. lol
Did you see Chris Young at 04:25 ask the outfielder running in "where's the ball?" He was like 'before I get my glove and hit the field, show me the ball'. OK. You got me.
The thing I love about baseball players, and calling myself one, is that we don't really brag or show off the plays or things we do, we just give a high five and play it cool.
What's better than knowing you hit a ball that will make it over the wall to win the game in extra innings? Being the man that leapt up & snatched the ball back down for the 3rd out.
The first one is still an out. It wouldn't count had he jumped over the wall and waited to catch it. But because his momentum carried him over the wall and it was out of his control, it counts.
