A rare occasion to see him on one of these Fender Esprit which later came to be his signature model. To be noted that the pickups are not the stock Fender. A high quality guitar made in Japan.
Insane. It is so good. Oasis is on the album "Tiger walk", that still to me is one of Robbens best. Greast songs (instrumentals) and great musicians. Thanks a lot for loading
This guy is truly amazing, I had the pleasure of seeing him live in Oakland CA last time he was in town at Yoshi's, it was pretty much the best live show I've ever seen!!!! He really communicates with the audience through his guitar, its hard to explain but you must see him live.
I was there and he was kind enough to sign an old 1968 picture of me and my 64 Guild Star fire III which was the same first real guitar he started on! He just got a PRS which sounds great but I think this one still sounds a tad better. THIS B3 player swings! I like how he messes with the meter.
These selections of this session are two of my top favorites of RF. Whatever happened to James Slathery in this collaboration? Tom B. And Roscoe B. continued to be heard in future RF combo incarnations..but what happened to this premier keyboard artist? Well, these fellows just hung the moon in this power trio.
A little late to the party, yes I'd never heard Slathery before and he's excellent. He has plenty of taste backing up Robben but also can deliver some really dynamic soloing. Will have to see if he has anything else on YT.
I'm just new Robben Ford and his guitar style I think this guy would be good with like Dada maybe change her style up a little too experience the frontier I like it its cool way beyond just blue's the keyboardist is pretty creative as well and they seem tight and can feel each others direction and style is pretty cool this little group is tight for sure
