I think he’s on loan to CBS for the tournament. I’ve seen him on broadcasts for other networks, don’t remember if it’s FS1 or ESPN. He’s a good one though.
@@ryanbrown8200 He has a contract with Fox & NBC. Fox owns 61% of BTN. So he's done games on FS1 and Peacock as well. He used to be with ESPN. I was surprised to see him calling games in the tourney. I guess it wasn't actually CBS, it was either TBS or TruTV, I don't remember.
Jayhawks fan...I really admire Hummel, he's a great commentator, complete pro, and he seems like a really good person. I'll be rooting for Purdue mostly because of him.
🤣😂 I'm so glad that I cheer for the University that gave me an highly rated education, a university which has taken their time to develop their basketball program the right way, a university where the players graduate with degrees which help them be successful in life, and an amazing University where former players feel like their coach is family. Ahhh, how wonderful it is to be a Boilermaker and know that my loyalty is not jealous nor degrading. It is full of glee and joy! It is especially so in this wondrous year we are having. Boiler Up! Hail Purdue!! Peddle your negativity to someone who cares.
@@JTH-hm8ewI think you have mental problems. We get it , you have weird beef with Purdue. But to comment on every video Purdue related… really strange. Get some help dude
Hmmm...then maybe you should follow suit. What you are doing, being negative on multiple comments on a positive post, certainly is not the 'Carolina Way'. Why are you spending so much energy hating on a team that your team did not even play? You lost, lick your wounds and get excited for next season. I will never understand some people's need to try to bring others down. Especially when it has NO RELEVANCE TO YOU!! If UT beats us, which I do not think they will but if they do, you can bet your butt I will be cheering hard for them because #40 plays with the joy of Lance Jones and it sure is hard to cheer against someone who loves the game like that. I don't know who you are UNC fan, but I can tell you, living with less negativity in your life will bring you more happiness!! Boiler Up!!!!
My dad, Rod Hicks played at Purdue from 1961-1965. He passe din 2007. Coach Painter called my dad, sent him a letter, gave signed Purdue basketballs to his grandkids. Growing up with Black and Gold in my blood, being a Purdue fan was a way of life. I went and played at Ball State the same er Matt was at Purdue. Matt's high school coach Stan Daugherty left my high school Elwood, to go to Delta to coach. I wanted to play for Coach Daugherty and they did great things at Delta. My dads high school coach at Elwood was Carl McNulty, one of Purdue's all time greats as well. As simply and maybe silly as this sounds, this Purdue Final Four means a lot to so many people. If it wasn't for Purdue giving my father an opportunity in 1961, he wouldn't have had the life he had which provided his family opportunities. I will be going to see my dad today and his resting place and discussing this! Also, Robbie Hummel is great and a great representative of Purdue and college basketball.
I'll never forget being at ross ade when word was circling that he re-tore his ACL in the opening day of practice. Very happy for his success as a broadcaster
Correction: RESTART this. A 100% healthy Glen Robinson would have done it. I wish he would have played one more season, but being drafted #1 and signing a record contract would have been silly to pass up.
@@boilerbuzz yeah. I was at that elite 8 game in Knoxville. He just didn’t have enough help beyond Cuonzo. Our 2nd and 3rd string bench is better than most of the other starters (no offense Paint :)
I didn't know Robbie had to camp out at Painter's house. Robbie is ALL of us. Especially the part of still feeling cheated out of the FF4 when Robbie ripped his knee. We WOULD have at LEAST gotten to the Final Four if that didn't happen.
@@JTH-hm8ew Actually, I'm not saying it as hyperbole because they've they've made it to the final four. I'm saying it because of the way painter has built this program over the years, how he has been able to recruit, as well as utilize the portal, the way he has kept players around, I think it's a different dichotomy than we have seen with coaches in the past. So, it's not based on what year of making it to the final four.
See dude, why so much negativity! Listen to all the coaches. They are singing Painter's praises about how he has managed his team and recruits. They talk about how he has recruited in this tough era of the portal and NIL. He is the face of coaching the right way in this era. Calm down, UNC will play well next year, stop hating that a whole group of people are happy when you aren't.
