It's a 3 speed automatic transmission with a manuel valve body. So it doesn't shift on it own. It's similar to a turbo 400. No other Trans will hold up to the abuse.

@tsn 1 I'd rather wear a truckers device and or depends undergarments. A catheter is very uncomfortable if not downright painful to have inserted. I myself used to ride a 1974 CZ400 wide open in the desert. So, yes, I have done something as crazy as this. A CZ400 is a dirt bike made in Czechoslovakia that is about 40 hp with no counter weight on the crank shaft (extreme vibration) and has maybe 5 inches of stiff suspension. I still have plenty of scars from that bike.

No it doesn't its an engine they bought from RCR. A 400ci R-99 cast iron small block. It originally produced 870 horsepower but they reduced the the displacement to 351ci. and now it only make 750 horsepower.

well it actually is a tuned up engine... it makes like a 100 more horsepower, has EFI, and...to cope with all that extra grunt...they use an automatic transmission...
Dam he is good, if i had the money to race a truck like that i bet i would keep up, nascar and baja are two different sport categories, but baja takes more skill and challenge, i will be attending the baja 500 this saturday!! Hope someone as good as ivan stewart joins the sport again, id like a good racer to look up to, robby is good but just not consistent with winning too agressive when its not needed!!
He is an all out take no prisoners type of racer. super aggressive and i can tell you this, to the guy that says he takes risk that are beyond his control, in order to be a racer you have to be risky and as an ex street bike racer you cant give a shit about anything except for going as hard as you can at all times no matter what. go or blow!!!!!
