I really can relate to his "awkwardness" with interviewers. I would say he could have some sort of anxiety but not really because he is still smiling and an exceptional actor. An interesting person for sure.
You can tell just by his haircut that he was filming the movie Copland. Lol sorry I had to edit I just watch the whole video and he talked about making the movie. I love that movie Stallone ,De Niro, Ray Liotta, Harvey Keitel!! Killed it. The best line in the movie from Mr. R.D You had the chance and you blew it!!!!!! Lol
Nice work on this, Ms.Wygant. You asked questions that are not run--of-the-mill, boring. It was nice to see Mr.DeNiro. Rather soft-spoken man, unless you know him or he gets going on a topic he feels comfortable with. Reminds me of my Ex ;-))
It's tough to watch De Niro being interviewed in this kind of setting because you can tell he's shy and doesn't like it. To some people he would seem inarticulate but that's not the case at all. He's the type of guy who's very concerned about being misunderstood so he's very careful to pick the exact word in all cases.
The Fan wasn't a great movie on its face...not that I know great movies. But just hearing De Niro yell "Bobby!" throughout the movie made it a hit in my book.
