It's amazing that they met up all those years later to talk it out and get some closure. It's super inspiring and really heartwarming to know that not all things have to end badly.
I guess it just wasn’t meant to be with Robert Downey and Sarah Jessica Parker. I am so proud of Robert his grown so much as a person. Happy for SPJ also found happiness.
He really looks amazing and he turned his life around completely. He's an incredible role model for so many recovering addicts out there and his story is inspiring!
I think he is still in love with her. The way how when and why he reached out to her is very convincing. If it wasn't for his addiction they would have been endgame. And it took him forever to make 'peace' with the fact that they were not endgame. She is the one that got away for him and vice versa. She hung on for 8 years and that is a long time. She was so young and scared for him. Susan would have walked away a long time before that. She would have not put up with the 'drug dance' (as she puts it) for that long. Her career comes first for her. But Sarah chose love for a long time. So young scared and alone. When she saw that he gave up on himself she couldn't stay and watch him die. I think they are each other's person. And they confirmed when they needed to check in. Privately they can still be checking in. The bond is that strong.
