She did live in Cincinnati, and did attend SCPA... They had a large house in the Clifton Gaslight District....my sister used to house sit for them while they were on trips to NYC... They had all their 8 kids in acting classes, ballet classes, etc..and although things may may be tight at times, that was bcs of all the out flow... All those classes, and costumes, and trips to NYC added up...

Lololol...I would really like to know where you guys are getting all your "information", if you want to call it that. Although Carrie's family may have started in "Nelson, Ohio", they ended up in Cincinnati, Oh, living a a rather large beautiful old home in the Clifton Gaslight District. She attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts there. She and her siblings were always going to dance classes, acting classes, etc, and my sister used to house sit for them while they were away on their many trips to NYC... "Dickensian"??? They may have stretched their finances with the large home, the multiple classes for multiple children, and the frequent trips to NYC, but poor, they were not.

@@АнечкинаА Well, that may have been after her mother divorced her father, and before she remarried...but after she remarried, and they moved to Cincinnati, they were living in what many would call a mansion, and all the kids were taking several different kinds of classes, not to mention frequent trips to NYC.... You can disagree all you want, but I saw it...and they were not poor... And BTW, I'm pretty sure she was not referring to the movie theater, but stage performances, and ballet.

before you throw shade at other peoples info you should at least get the name of the town she started out at correct it was NELSONVILLE OHIO not nelson I know I went to Hocking College there For my Nursing degree

Her mother was very harsh! She and I both tried out for Annie in Atlanta Ga 1979 n of course she ultimately won! But that’s mostly bcuz her mom was pressuring her so hard n the bathroom to get it right n how important it was to not mess up! My mother on the other jus carried me bcuz I wanted to try out bcuz i looked the part of Annie already w the red curly hair..lol n I could sing! My problem was I wouldn’t “Sing” to the stuffed dog..lol wish I had now..lol but glad to see she got it after the life she had as a child n her mother being so stern on her!

No, SJP auditioned in New York for the Broadway show. She had been in The Innocents on B-way the year prior. She was in By Strouse when she was offered an audition and got an orphan role and understudy. Then she replaced Shelley Bruce as Annie.I have never heard Sarah say her mother was a stage mother but that she wanted her kids educated and exposed to culture and pursue their talents

I had no idea how rough Sarah childhood was but I'm glad that she found a way to achieve her goals and is now living a great life she definitely deserves it

I know his whole story and how much she suffered. That's why it's to she so hard to spend to now. She says that she has a very strange relationship with money, she goes from wanting to save everything to realizing that she has been working in the industry for many years and that she can afford the odd whim. It is said that they call her "the greediest woman in Hollywood" But she is not greedy, the world has made her be greedy
