Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who is currently the chancellor at William and Mary College, tells "Face the Nation" that "I'm not even going to begin to go there" about voting for former President Donald Trump in 2024, who he has written has "disdain for allies, fondness for authoritarian leaders, erratic behavior undermined his credibility."

Who would think the thousands of Israeli citizens protesting against what is going on in Israel, knows Netanyahu and Israel has gone overboard. Netanyahu is protecting his own skin, rather than thinking rationally about Israel welfare.

When Ukraine has the momentum is when they should’ve been looking for a peace’s deal. Now Russia has the momentum and a peace deal will look like a loss.

Too bad. It happens when poor managers are in charge. Look at the people running the executive branch, especially the WH, Defense, State, CIA, etc. These people, despite the ora of expertise the MSM lauds on them, are largely incompetent, possessing no special skill set or expertise in the relevant subject matter. What got each into their respective position was political party activity.

Israel is the main belligerent in the region, not Iran. The Secretary is downplaying the record of Israeli aggression, which includes the deliberate attack on the USS Liberty in 1967.

Mr. Gates is probably right that most protestors don't know much about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict-most people don't. • Given the chance, I wonder what Mr. Gates would tell them that might change their minds about their protest against the mass killing in Gaza and Israel's half-century military occupation of Palestinian lands? • I suspect it is unlikely you will pose this question to him.

Imo Mr Gates isn't an expert on law enforcement and probably wouldn't offer advice to protesters other than state some history that you can rely on for their consideration.
