Probably the most important thing I learned from reading Mastery, was in reference to learning something new. When you learn something new you have to mentally in a sense, become like a child. A child is open, curious, dependent, and has no ego or pre notions. He/she just wants to understand.

I love this interviewer because he lets Robert “flow” into the interview, rather than doing a power play and using their ego to create a defense against Greene IMO. I’m noticed that others interviewers bombard him with questions and dance for the camera too much. This is lengthy but good!

Yeah overall I like Joe and value his contributions, but one thing that he is not is a smart, self-controlled man. He's curious, he's engaged, but man oh man he was never the type to go to college and really learn about first principles and self-control, he just launches into tangents like a madman. All those tattoos up and down his arms are the result of poor judgement and impulsive decision-making. They're frankly ugly as fuck and do not help his look.

Giving up too early happened many times to me. I remember having this friend, she was exactly the opposite and she ended up far more successful than me in school. She wasn't the most talented, but her parents made sure she would work hard, and this sort of discipline helped her later in life as well. She was willing to put in the work.

I love Robert Greene's work. His books completed the clarification of my studies, and experiences of social dynamics to finally specify the interactions I have around me daily. I wasn't socialized correctly. My Ma and Step Father didn't socialize much cause they were considered the "help" where I grew up. I didn't get to visually observe a parent properly interact with others very often. Even though it was a small town in school I didn't understand social status. I didn't actually really understand it until I turned 30 Haha.

Watch Thomas Sowell... you'll hear something new and insightful every 2 minutes. This moron, Robert Greene, takes ordinary common sense and repackages it into stories which for some bizarre reason leaves people amazed. The only conclusion that makes any sense is that people who are impressed by this moron had REALLY lousy and worthless parents, and are themselves generally stupid.

Brendan Carr Hi brendan thnx for interviewing robert really enlightening. My story is quite long but here we go. I live in Zimbabwe and you know the conditions here are something else. Here we are still fighting primitive diseases like cholera and typhoid. This is an environment oozing with fear. Just to survive in this environment is a struggle people are out only for themselves. I cant even get a job because i have no influential relatives. Just today i was in line to buy cooking oil which has turned into gold in my country because of poor leaders. These leaders rule by fear and are not afaraid to kill if anyone challenges them. Recently six people were killed for protesting and no one has dared to protest again. Fear is clearly effective as a tool for crushing opposition in my country. So just surviving and thriving in such an environment is a daunting task especially if you have nothing. Then Robert comes into the picture and iam now able to see this envronment for what it truly is a battleground with intricate power struggles. I hear this talk of importance of enterprenuers in developing countries for further development but to be honest such an environment kills enterprenual spirit. Its possible to rise my friend but everything is against you. So reading the 50th law and what curtis overcame to be a success is inspiring for someone like me. It shows even if i was dealt a tough hand with focus and hardwork i can make something of my self. I know you guys dont have it easy but here when i look around all there is poverty and suffering so Robert to me is a giver of hope. With all his books if you can keep an open mind you get a new set of eyes to see the world for the harsh place it truly is. I have read all his books except the laws of human nature and i have identified with a lot he was saying. Here itz a jungle man its really fucked up but i can continue to work and hope i make something of my self in this jungle. Any beacon of light is welcome. I know i recently started reading him but iam sure in five to ten years i would have digested this philosophy and it can act as an aid as i try to survive in this shithole because to be honest trump was right itz a shithole. I can go on and on but thats wat i meant wen i said he has given me hope that if i keep my mind sharp i can live a more productive life no matter the circustances. I also want to apologise to Robert i read all his books without buying a single i had to resort to free downloads cash is very tight in my part of the world. When i make it one day i promise i will buy the hard copies. I hope i managed to explain myself.

@@BradCarr_ : Hi Brendan i have a favour to ask. I know its improper but iam on deathground its a pretty dufficult time for me and so much is at stake. Currently iam unemployed man and there is no job opportunity in sight and my rent is 3 days due. I know this is public domain and what iam doing is embarrasing but iam out of options. Can you spare $100 just for me to pay this month's rent and get a few foodstuffs. Iam not some Nigerian prince who wants to scam you of your hard earned money. Iam just someone asking for help with hope that i will pay back someday things are fucked up here bro. I know this is an asshole move but iam on deathground man and i will cling on to anything to survive.
