I bought this book in the Amsterdam Airport in the 90s, only to find out the book was set 20 minutes away from where I lived back in Iowa. Crazy coincidence, amazing book.
He talks about magic, and I witness it here in this interview. It's the same kind of magic he makes us hope for in the pages of his book, but it also tells me the artist has to carry it to express it in artistic form. This gave me hope.
I think he wrapped up the core of the book when he said, 'I believe that the Universe transpires and creates Magic in lives' I'd say, if you allow it. He's truly a Creative Artist and his experience of the writing is truly a creative moment, as he said - Zen Like ! He allowed it to happen 😍

Beautiful book...incredible writing...I've read it several times and my heart opens more each time to this delicate fragile thing called LOVE. Incredible. He wrote with such a deep sensuality we have been blessed by his presence. Thank you for your gift
@@brodi0351 my sympathies with you for your narrow hard hearted perception of what love truly is. I hope one day your heart will be touched by it and at that point you understand 💜
@@teresaiche4722 I’m happily married, I know what love is. I don’t think you understand what love is if you think betraying your family and cheating n your husband is something beautiful. Maybe one day you’ll pull your head out of your ass.
Isso nao foi um filme foi uma obra de arte!!! Assisti agora em 2024 senti a mesma emocao de quando 7 anos atraz! Os atores, formidaveis, eles realmente conseguem captar Nossa alma pra dentro daquela historia!!! Wauuu sensazional!!!!!
I noticed that most of the comments on here are from women. Proves what he was saying about that there not bein enough passion in this world. To many men watching sports ignoring their wife's!!!!
Fabulous story and my story as well. But my story lasted five years and ended bittersweet in a struggle with cancer. My passion was not so much physical as with the heart. Fated meeting.
As a hopeless Romantic myself., Robert....i totally Get It. And WHAT a Magical , @ exciting experiece that happens. SOo many CAN relate. And i believe....the majority of lovers...end up going back home.. .IF they're on THAT side of the track. The Loner moves on. Bittetsweet... en.
Blooper right of the bat. "Directed by Steven Spielberg? You mean I have been adoring Clint Eastwood as director this whole time? Well. .. so that's fine...this gentleman, Waller. Yep, a true artist! I AM OK NOW
At the end of his life , Richard (her husband) said "Franny. I know you have your dreams , I am sorry I didn't give to you" (Something like that). Some said he already knew her 4 days story. But I don't believe he did. He just to say sorry about what she has dream of yet never received. Remember she said he is a farmer and very clean husband . So without any clue of this at all , if she kept it as a secrecy . I feel pity but lucky too for this clean husband.
Robert didnt even want it published, he just had a story to tell & was way too busy to worry about getting jt published. I felt the interviewer could have been more gentle in the questions, it sounds like he is grilling Robert for his life but Robert amswers with genuine ease. Love the film, just bought the book off ebay.
An amazing film that I lost count as to how many times I've watched. Francesca's body language and these little sounds she makes while looking at Robert (from a distance) or thinking of him as if she's in a state of extreme sexual excitement but at the same time like holding back, trying to control herself, I find extremely erotic. Then you got Meryl Streep herself looking like a Goddest, with that beautiful face and that body of hers hidden under those dresses that makes me think no other actress could've played this character better than her. Beautiful film that I highly recommend.
