Why didn’t Mike pull him up on this that we are a race of people? English is not a ethnicity is he thick, hasn’t he heard of the Anglo Saxons, doesn’t he know the origins of the word England/English? You can’t become English, you can have citizenship and become an English citizen but that’s not what he was talking about. Chinese are allowed to be a race so are the French, Africans etc but the English aren’t allowed come on! I could be born in Japan as were my parents I’d be Japanese by nationality but if my parents etc were white English I couldn’t claim my race was Japanese, even if I followed Japanese culture in its entirety.Two separate issues.
While the Tory Party lick their wounds and drag their feet over a new leader, the British public are still without a viable Loyal Opposition at Westminster. Without a voice in Parliament they will continue to make their voices heard elsewhere which forces them to use social media; consequently, they are exposed to drastic policing measures and harsh penalties, all whilst Tory MPs still get paid as they lay silent.

England and the English identity has been under threat for decades. Most people dont know what a Brit is . I am English I live in England on the island of Britain . British is NOT a nationality English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish are the nationalities of the indigenous people of Great Britain.
British is a nationality. That is legally our nationality, but yes you can still be proud of being from your constituent part of the United Kingdom. A close friend of mine is from Texas, who of course has his nationality as American but he is proud of his Texan identity, and classes himself as Texan as well. It’s not either/or.

I hate to say this but it is getting to the stage that i am beginning to hate this country and what it as become I apologies to all the men and women who gave there lives for our freedom .I am British born and bread and always been proud of it . If i was younger and had the opportunity i would be off. What a disgrace these Governments have made of our once great country .

What does he mean English isn't an ethnicity?! Of course it is. Why do the English always get denied their history and ties to their homeland? You wouldn't say this about any other ethnicity on the planet, why are the English fair game? He says England is a nation, not an ethnicity so if you take an ethnic Englishman and put him in a different nation, is he no longer English? If you take a Chinese man and put him into England, is he now 100% as English as someone whose ancestors have been here over a thousand years?! By nation he's saying it's the land mass and ideals that make a person English. No it isn't, it isn't some magic soil where as soon as you land you become just as English as someone whose family has lived here for 1000 years. Having the ideals of England doesn't suddenly make you English because you follow those ideals. It's so insulting.

I'm very proud of my English heritage, why shouldn't I be? I defy anyone to say that I shouldn't be proud. Every nation on earth is encouraged to be patriotic, except the English. Well, I'm afraid that's their problem, not mine. In addition, English is an ethnicity, well according to my DNA analysis there is.
He might talk the talk now but if he ever got in power he would revert back to lefty ideas or would not be allowed to implement these ideas by his part and civil servants.
