Chicago was my grandfather's favorite band. Being exposed to something like this band my whole life is a blessing. Robert Lamm is ridiculously smart. Terry had soul for days. Peter had (in my grandfather's words) "serious pipes". James Pankow is a brilliant composer and the rest of the horn section, well you all know how good they are. This music has aged like fine wine. Sounds better now than ever. That's what it's about man

When you listen to the Terry Kath years, it's incredible. You had that rock edge and the horns. When Terry died, that's the day Chicago died. Yes, they've had a lot of good songs since then, but Terry was the heart and soul of the group.

Absolutely, the Kath years were the best! After that, it slowly dissolved into Cetera's mush.

The memories of Chicago in the 70’s were classics! Glad to see Robert Lamm is still playing. I sure miss Terry kath, Peterson Cetera and seraphine were awesome! The brass players also made that good sound. Their songs are still classic hits!

Bands of the 60s and 70s were something special. It was the best of the analog era before digital came along and withered the sound. Chicago is best listened to on vinyl, however I love their artistry so much that I will suffer through the sounds of tiny digital speakers just to feel connected to a time when true talent mattered. I wish I could sit down and chat with the remaining members and listen to the legends.

IT WAS VERY INTERESTING LISTENING TO ROBERT LAMM'S INTERVIEW REGARDING CHICAGO III. IT'S REALLY INTERESTING HEARING THE SONG WRITERS EXPLANATION FOR SOME OF THEIR SONGS. IT'S A SHAME THAT THIS GENERATION WILL NOT GET TO LISTEN TO REAL GREAT MUSIC TODAY. IN THE LATE 1960'S & EARLY 1970'S WHEN I WAS GROWING I CAN REMEMBER LISTENING TO MY FAVORITE ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME CHICAGO. I THOUGHT A ROCK BAND WITH A HORN SECTION WAS REALLY COOL. LISTENING TO THE GLEN MILLER BAND WITH MY FATHER WHEN I WAS A KID MADE ME APPRECIATE CHICAGO EVEN MORE. THANKS TO YOU TUBE THE YOUNGER GENERATION CAN WATCH FULL CONCERTS & VIDEOS FROM CHICAGO & OTHER GREAT BANDS FROM THE 1960'S & 1970'S. THANKS TO YOU TUBE FANS FROM MY GENERATION WE CAN RELIVE MEMORIES FROM THE CONCERTS & VIDEOS OF CHICAGO & OTHER GREAT BANDS.

Poem for the People is without a doubt my favourite tune ever. Its horns solo is the best!!! Finally I hear a reference about this amazing song. The Ballet and Introduction have also super amazing horns solos. Memories of Love, and the amazing orchestral arrangements for AM/PM Mourning kill me too. Chicago II and Chicago VII are in my opinion the best albums ever recorded in music history.

I agree! I don’t know what it is but Poem For The People has my favourite Horn Arrangement. I’ve heard it’s a complex horn chart. I would love to hear why.

The Steven Wilson remix of Chicago II is the one to get. He took a masterpiece, but with a muddled sound and made it shine, bringing out sounds that we're buried in the original mix.

With Kath dying in 1978, Cetera going solo in 1985, and Seraphine being fired in 1990, why would anyone really care about Chicago.
