Raphael Peralta Because the main cast signed a contract after the first shitty one which locked them into the sequels, they didn’t like working on it or playing the characters but had to do it because of their contract.
@@jamesprice9560 No one forced them to take the job and the first movie did really well and got them a lot of notoriety. I'm sure it's a love hate relationship. The movie was aimed at teens anyway.
@@Shewas-kathybates I'm getting kinda tired of people acting like cash grabs with low quality writing are excusable just because they're aimed at younger audiences. Why don't we stop doing young audiences an insulting disservice by acting like they can't handle/don't deserve better entertainment?
well yeah it makes sense tho. bella obviously enjoys danger and excitement and the whole sadist role she plays in the relationship due to him always wanting to drink her the most😸if she were chatty and revealed all her thoughts he would be driven away so fast too. so the whole relationship is true to nature 🤷but it's also ridiculous because of it and creepy because on one hand she is young but on the other some ppl do possess qualities that make them intelligent regardless of age. it's a mess 😸but a successful one for sure💰💰💰
its her BLOOD mannnnnn...lmao for real tho he would have to be way too cultured/sophisticated to give a 17 year old high school chick the time of day...or night...cuz u know vampire...
@@Karl_Drogo55 would he though? he is only 108 thats a slightly long lifespan. yes he doesnt have to sleep but what does that do? add 30% more time? people could live multiple lifetimes and still be morons lol
@@hurpaderpp I mean ur not wrong about that..but the character/person hes potraying in it wasnt exactly an idiot lol that would be plausible if he was a mouth breather or something
Twilight Vampires basically are frozen in development once they turn. They're just living statues. That's why immortal babies were outlawed. They will never mature no matter how old they get. So Edward is is still 18 but he's been like that for like 90 years.
@@metoo3342 anything that can react to the environment isn't frozen in development. If this was the case they couldn't learn or do anything because that's what development is. You exist, the environment acts on you, and you change because of it. Maturity doesn't come from the balancing of hormones, it comes from the passage of time and is exponentially based on one's personality and intellect. Basically, Edward likes em young and there is no way to make that not weird.
"A book that wasn't supposed to be published." If the Edward Cullen of your world says this, then you know have a problem. Give Cedric his props for this.
He played the main character in twilight (that gave him by the way a lot of fame) and just a small side-roll that was killed off in Harry Potter. But he still preferred his role in Harry Potter. That says a lot
i think the only person who would've been able to sue him was stephenie, and i'm guessing she either didn't care or didn't follow a lot of the press stuff?
My favorite part is that these aren’t from interviews well after the movies are made, these are videos where he was supposed to be promoting the newly released movies
Easy to hate on it after it had already launched his career and pocketed him quite the sum of money it did. He would have my respect if he had declined it in the first place.
@@silkworm2595 fine, than be thankful for the twilight movies for what they are, a comercial money maker which he damn well benefited from, instead of snarkly bashing it. He is a hypocrite.
I feel like he got a lot of shit for this role back in the day (despite the intense popularity) and I think a lot of people considered him a joke just because of this role (I know I did which was ridiculous) but he's actually so chill, cool and honest as well as being a skilled actor.
Blastaar7 Why else would their common room entrance be conveniently located behind barrels in the kitchen? Anyone who agrees a Hufflepuff is a badger is definitely hufflein' & puffin' some herbology provided by Professor Sprout.
Sara REALLY?? Thanks for commenting! I wouldn't have known otherwise. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Robert per day but I do really like his acting when I realise he's in something. This will be the way time watching batman might finally get into all the others
People look at him and think of Twilight (so do I) but iv seen him in other movies and he’s a great actor I’m not gonna make judgment yet on the Batman situation until I see him in costume and acting as Bruce Wayne
I’m so happy that he’s become such a legitimately great actor and people are starting to realize it. I’m glad Twilight wasn’t able to hold him down career wise.
If you read the books you realize Ed Pat's "terrible" acting wasnt terrible at all. He fully grasped what an absolute freak Edward is and he put it out there for us to see. It was never an issue of him, Twilight just sucks that bad
Well they can’t replace him and even if they could and decided to kill him off it doesn’t seem like he would care that much cuz he clearly hated it and was stuck in a contract so he could basically say anything he wanted cuz either way he’s fine he gets cut from the movies or he continues to get paid so..
Considering for him it was a near career killer, is not hard to see why he'd hate it more than anyone else is one thing when you're in the sidelines watching the product, and another when you're right there making it... I know he wanted to kill his agent after making the first one lol
Just FYI he was dating Kristen at the time of that one video that ends with him saying SK2 facepacks. Interviewers at that time kept trying to get him to talk about his relationship with Kristen and he wouldn't. They didn't like the idea of "selling" their relationship along with the movie. That's why he avoided the question with a joke. He's not rude.
kimberly s I read them in the 7th grade and now I’m re reading them as a college freshman (thank u quarantine Boredom) and I think they’re actually very well written. MUCH better than the movies.
I love creative writing. I think this is good book because from my point of view Stephenie explains setting of places extremely well . She’s explains the characters in detail .
@@katepublik7678 I read them in 2009 when I was 19. They're terrible, the purple prose, the subtle pedophilia, etc. I've been reading Stephen King due to quarantine boredom.
I think Stephanie did a great job writing the books. The amount of time and energy she spent writing those books is insane. And I think that its great she wrote those books because they are amazing. Could you write a series of books thousands of pages put together that later turned into a multi-billion dollar blockbuster film saga?
@@claraw3364 Many people have done that. She's no trailblazer. Twilight is a bunch of sexist drivel and the only good thing that came out of it was red flag awareness. Stephenie Meyer's whole shtick is glorifying strong, indestructible and flawless men while her female protagonist downplays herself constantly and has no agency whatsoever.
Sugar dude, you’re right. I can’t believe people do this. I mean, I’m not attacking women or anything, but men don’t do this kind of thing, just because we’re more visual and less based on writing and speech for arousal. Women just read and write “sExY” books. Jeez Wattpad and Quotev are filled with this trash.
@@billysinge8977 Oh please, men do the same thing. Just look at the thousands of fan-fic archives out there and I bet a great majority are written by men. I can't speak for professional male authors, but there's more than enough male amateur sex writers out there. Don't say dumb things like men are "more visual and less based on writing and speech for arousal" without actually having studies to back it up, cuz in all likelihood you pulled it out of your ass.
ahhhh no, going from a billion dollar movie project to having to take roles that make negative numbers. i guess the only benefit for rob was the money but u’re naive to think that that’s what they became actors for. Twilight stunted his career and i am happy to see him in the batman movie. i wanna see that man have some critically acclaimed success in hollywood,*he deserves it
I always didn't really care for Robert since he was in Twilight, which is an awful book filled written by an ameteur writer. But since knowing he hated Twlight and Loved Harry Potter more I think hes amazing.
I've heard people say "Well if they really hated the movies than they wouldn't have done it hurr." Well guess what hun I hate the franchise just as much, but if someone waved a 12 million dollar check in my face and asked me to make it you better believe I'd hop right the fuck on board.
This is why I think he makes a great Batman. He would have this exact kind of internal commentary about the people he has to mingle with when acting as "playboy Bruce."
Yo he hates on twilight even during the twilight promo interviews...absolute mad lad WOW 1k likes now I’m gonna selfpromote 😂❤️ GO CHECK MY PIANO PIECE
I watched it with his and Kristen Stewart's audio commentary back when I was obsessed with it in 7th grade, and he pretty much just makes fun of himself/the character whenever he's on screen lol
The fact that he immediately follows up with "I didn't even get to kill anyone" and sounding like this is the biggest tragedy of all is just irrationally hilarious to me.
I have a lot of respect for Robert as an actor because he’s done some excellent films and he has a great sense of humor and self awareness unlike some celebrities
He’s an actor..............just because his character isn’t “likeable” you can’t just assume that how he is in real life, it defeats the whole purpose of acting.
@@mayah7181 actually, Cedric was first introduced in book 3 where harry fell off his broom in quidditch and Cedric caught the snitch. Cedric offered Oliver Wood for a rematch, but Oliver Wood declined. That day, Oliver Wood has drowned himself in his bathtub.
Dirty Nwah yeah but I heard now he’s avidly defending it on twitter so idk..I’m just saying they were usually being pretty tongue and cheek but Robert here is just going off
Robert Pattinson with Twilight Harrison Ford with Star Wars Danial Craig with James Bond John Boyega and Oscar Issac also... with Star Wars Megan Fox with Transformers Yeah there's uhh... there are some actors who really didn't enjoy some iconic roles they played. It can be kinda funny, just when they don't get their careers hit by being honest.
I just love watching the tween girls out there cry in horror at the fact that their big hunky vampire senpai actually hates the series he was dragged into and that the “deep” romance they fell in love with was all a lie. 😇😈
Regardless of what Robert thought, the entire saga was incredibly popular (and even 12 years later still is) and this is one saga that definitely belongs in the National Film Registry!
@@talkingtoawall5123 I remember seeing a photo of his face in complete horror when costar Taylor Lautner mentioned Stephanie might write another book, he looked so terrified
Well mostly because its teen romance and, well the characters in the book are around 17~18 while he looks older. I mean acting some sappy teen romance thst makes you cringe, well I wouldn't like that either. But the book was actually enjoyable, not a masterpieces, far from that, but it wasn't as bad as it seems. I mean its teen romance what do you expect from it?! Good plot and perfectly developed characters? Nah this is fantasy and stupid thinks girls thought about when they were younger. Romance with a beautiful guy that was stronger then you that would protect you all the time and shower you with love and affection, it won't have good fight scenes or mistery. It will be basic teen romance, you can't really expect much from it.
It’s always the Same cycle. Actors gets casted, People hate the casting, movie comes out, people love the casting. I admit that when Affleck was announced I didn’t liked the choice (that’s mostly because I was a 13 with no opinion of his own lol) but the first image was shown and I loved it.
Back when he was in Twilight I would have definitely said that. After he left Twilight he definitely redeemed himself and in "The "Lighthouse" his acting is brillant.
Twilight can basically be summed up as the diary of a 14-year-old hormone-driven girl writing about a nightmare she had: *Dear Diary, last night I had this, like, totally awesome dream about this SUPER pale, hot, gorgeous guy with, like, WAY too much hair gel and stuff. He told me that he, like, totally wants to kill me and I was like "OMG! That is, like, so totally hot!"* *I woke up that night to find him (ya know, the guy who was, like, so totally hot and sexy and gorgeous!) in my room, saying that he, like, broke into my house to stare at me while I slept. And I was like "OMG! That is, like, so totally romantic and, like, not at all creepy and stalkerish! That a super hot, totally gorgeous, and sexy hunk like YOU would want to watch ME sleep! Ya know, like a super hot, super sexy and totally gorgeous guardian angel!"* *But then super hot super sexy gorgeous hunky man of my dreams left and I was, like, so totally depressed and didn't want to, like, live without him, even though he gives off SUPER obvious red flags like breaking into my house, stalking me, straight-up telling me he wants to kill me and stuff.* *Then this real hairy guy came along and told me he loves me and that I love him back, even though I, like, totally DIDN'T! He still insisted that I loved him and just didn't know it yet or was just convincing myself that I didn't love him like he just couldn't accept the fact that I totally DIDN'T love him back. Or maybe I, like, DO love him back or maybe I don't.* *Then my super sexy super gorgeous totally hot guy came back and he, like, got me pregnant! He wanted me to, like, get an abortion but I, like, totally wanted to keep it. I almost, like, died in childbirth but super hot sexy gorgeous guy wouldn't let me die because he, like, totally couldn't live without me.* *Then hairy stalker guy met my kid and he was staring at her like she was, like, a piece of meat and he was a hungry wolf. He was, like, giving off SUPER pedophile vibes but I, like, totally trust him around her.* *So me, my kid, the hairy obsessive pedophile guy, and my super hot super sexy super hunk-elicious super totally gorgeous now-husband guy totally live happily ever after!* *Did I mention how totally hot, sexy, gorgeous, and hunky my psychopathic obsessed lover is? Because I will totally keep mentioning it for, like, the next 50,000 pages!*
Ok but why are you dragging teenage girls like this…you’re writing as a stereotype from early 2000s chick flicks no teenage girls actually act like that
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Chris Hemsworth, Zachary Levi, Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Ben Affleck, etc. All of these were casting choices that the internet circlejerked about being horrible choices but were nowhere to be found after the movies released. The people behind these productions know what they're doing and they know who to cast. On top of that, the only hate is people saying he "needs to beef up" which is stupid and redundant because that's literally going to be in his contract, and the other people are ONLY basing their knowledge of him from Twilight. They haven't seen a single movie he's been in otherwise. He will be a great Batman.
