T-Bone, Marc Ribot and Buddy Miller on guitars. That’x just a sick lineup there. What a magnificent job by all concerned parties. The whole concept of putting Alison Krauss together with Robert Plant is just so out of the box…and it works like a charm. It reminds me of that scene in “Working Girl” where Melanie Griffith explains how she came up with the idea of “Trask/Radio”. T-Bone just created lightning in a bottle here.
Robert playing a guitar, not too many videos with him playing guitar. I heard him say that he played guitar on 10 LZ songs although he didn't name any of the songs Robert also suggested that Led Zeppelin cover When the Levee Breaks for the 4th album.
From Memphis Minnie to Alison Krauss towards massive drum riff from John Bonham... and telling us about climate change. When all levees will break, no place to stay
Yup - this is all T-Bone's fault. Other notable figures lurking in the shadows there - that's Marc Ribot on the left (many of us know him from those Tom Waits records), and to his left, Buddy Miller, who knows even more about American music than Robert Plant does.
Plant is quite an accomplished guitarist but rarely plays on stage. I remember him endorsing... it might have been Ovation, I'm not sure... around the time of Fate Of Nations.
Very, very cool, unique rendition which these two seem to do exquisitely all the time. I love that Plant let's her sing this alone ! Not sure if true but I read these two dated for a while. If so they make quite a beautiful pair ?
