Alison Krauss and Robert Plant perform "Black Dog" from their album "Raising Sand" at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Friday, October 3, 2008 with T Bone Burnett
She is the absolute definition of a musician whether with her voice or her fiddle. She can do and does any song that she really likes and she does it well. I would have loved to heard them discussing their music together.
@@lindafields4613 It is indeed! Alison Krauss mentioned in an interview on the "Crossroads" program they did that Stuart Duncan is her favorite fiddler! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SAwOwUp-S7Q.html&ab_channel=DoggenHaus
One very cool day in GG Park that seared a lasting impression into my mind. It's as if they turned the sound inside out in some ways, grateful to have been there.
Plant said singing with Krauss made him a better singer, because he was forced to "stay in his lane" instead of warbling all over the place like he had always done.
@@davkarshobby2468 Yep, and I'm having a hard time getting it on CD. All I'm finding is Vinyl, which is Great, but I want a CD. Lol, I don't Download my music ✌️
I do really love Alison and Robert together and love so many of their songs together, but I just don't like this version of Black Dog, which is my fav Zep song ever. Can't get into this. Esp the instrumental arrangement.
the band , although good in their own right, have no idea how to deal with the drop beat if Zep and so launch into ‘Fever’ never no how much I love you. Kraus/Plant
@@joeyhuebner10 That is strange. I am not sure why I made that comment a year ago when the song being performed is obviously "Black Dog". Makes me wonder if I was intending to comment on another video and accidentally commented on this one. Very confused.
@@joeyhuebner10 One thing for certain. "Black Dog" does not appear on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album Raising Sand. At least not the studio version from 2007.
I don't like this song reduced to a Mississippi slave chant circa 1845. I want Jimmy Page, with lightning bolts in his eyes, to walk on stage and recalibrate the Universe. What's wrong with me?
