Robert Schumann on Clara Schumann's Piano

In 1828, when Clara was 8 years old her father gave her a first grand piano of her own which had been built especially for her in Vienna. In her girlhood diary it says: "On 4th of March I received a grand piano ordered for me with 6 octaves in cherry wood with lovely bonze." And in October of the same year: "On 20th I played publicly in the Gewandhaus for the first time ... incidentally we played on the grand piano of 6 octaves in cherry wood built for me by Andreas Stein." Now this instrument is part of the collection of the Robert Schumann House Zwickau, where this video was made in 2021.
