We need Robert Smigel part 2. He needs to come back someday.

In the late 80's I worked onboard Crystal Cruises' 5-star cruise ship, Crystal Harmony. Bernie would sail with us in the Crystal Penthouse all the time. He'd always hold court in the Avenue Saloon bar until 2 or 3 in the morning telling Hollywood stories you would not believe. Great guy.

Imagine if that movie with Arnold existed. We really missed out on something there.

In the last year or two I've been listening, this was my favorite episode. I would stay up late on school nights to watch conans old late nite show and every triumph sketch was hilarious.

So the Little Nicky voice was just Adam doing an impression of Smigel doing an impression of Adam... 🤯🤯

Hearing Conan curse is hilarious to me. His impression dropping the F-bomb made me do a spit take.

My friend and I still yell the "JINGLE ALL THE WAY!" impression to this day.

We need a 20 hour version of this interview with Robert! So much television history.

I have a young daughter who is big into movies and we have watched every animated film under the sun it seems. Every new kids movie we usually see in theaters, and at home at least once a week we watch an animated kid's movie. "Leo" is not only one of the best kid's movies I've ever seen, it is just one of the best movies period I've ever seen. It is incredibly funny, not just one a kid level adults WILL laugh too, very irreverent, silly, absurd, will make you cry laughing. But! Also incredibly poignant and heartfelt, very touching, great message, great storytelling, structure and ending. It's a masterpiece, and I don't use that word lightly.

Honestly, a Hanz and Franz movie NOW with everyone old, would probably sell more than the original one would have.

I've seen Lookwell and I thought it should have been picked up. That and Heatvision and Jack.

I disagree that the voice is more important than the animation. Not good animation. Good animation is, as Dana Carvey likes to say, "funny with the sound off." (Think of the Roadrunner) When the voice is more important than the animation, that's illustrated radio. It's possible to do artful work in that form too, but it's not the best animation.

I was listening to this part while boarding a bus, it was so hard not to burst out laughing. I think the lady in front of me noticed because she gave me suspicious looks. 😅

Yeah the work of the guys who slave for years and develop every frame and do the job of multiple departments is less important than the celebrity voice actors who work for weeks if not days and take a bigger paycheck coz they're actors lol. There's voice actors who are legends & there are celebrities who get the part. Second category will never earn my respect.
