Anche l'unico che non se la tira, jay leno è un po' figlio di troia e letterman se la tira anche se è solo un personaggio a volte, conan invece sempre umile, molto fine e acuto
He once said "I'd rather be remembered as the Swiss Anna Magnani than as the italian Woody Allen". He was clearly making fun of that nonsense question, tho... He's a big fan of Woody.
Life is beautiful and Benigni’s energy is INFECTIOUS. His film and his energy really does inspire you to see the love and the light in everyone you meet and everywhere you greet.
I think he speaks like that intentionally, by subconscious letting everyone know that his mother language is not English, if he would speak with a perfect accent, he would not have such a wide dictionary as his mother language so he would be perceived as much "smaller man" and now he leaves people with a secret, that he could be a much much bigger man, just it's not he's language and i do believe so
his first language is not English so, it's next to impossible to have a normal conversation when there's such a language barrier. Nobody's making fun of nobody
"flabbergasted" is an amazing word and he used it in other interviews too. I think he just loved the sound and learned it. It does not mean his vocabulary is as wide as the average person who knowsn what does it mean.
@@michaelsierra9 Leno's mother, Catherine, was born in Greenock, Scotland, and came to the United States at age 11. His father, Angelo, was born in New York, to immigrants from Flumeri, Italy. So he's part Italian-American.
Roberto is pure energy. He makes you smile when he is smiling. Loved his film Life is Beautiful! One of the best films ever made. The man is hilarious and intelligent.
He looks like Woody Allen but with one hundred and fifty kilos of TNT in his body. He has an inexhaustible energy, he looks like a child with the appearance of an adult.
Yeah. But what's the matter? Clearly you took some. Like me. Is it cocaine always bad? Long term, sure. But was it cocaine creating this interview? I took cocaine I've never had the arrogance to blaim it when I saw talent acting on it. Plus, If you really can talk about C, you'd know even now MOST of people are on it
No. He has not. Despite all the advice they gave Leno. Roberto in those years was incredible. He was a nightmare for american culture, his act was conceptuallly based on exposing american flaws, using american's italian stereotypes. He was a genious
The Day, i Went To Watch ***** LA VIE EST BELLE *****, When i Went Out From The Cinema... i Looked... AT OUR MOON. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR Roberto BENIGNI...
I'd like to point something. He used to be like this even on italian TV, that's him, nothing more than his soul. Then he proved he's a fool when he created that milestone that is "life is beautiful". Reading comments I have seen a right one. You cannot upstage an italian, mostly if je is a great commedian!
As an Italian I am happy to see that he is appreciated so much and his work is unquestionable... such an out of the box overwhelming energy and deep love for everyone... (he definitely shows that physically) but this is not my kind of comedy. One trick pony actually, it's like a repetition of that particular dormitory scene in La vita è bella. I don't agree with those who say Conan is the only one able to handle him because I would be annoyed very quickly the second time he jumps on someone or quotes lines from La Divina Commedia as well. Not many jokes other than that, politics' or Church's, and Italian television characters'. You can see this limit after a while he's trying to elaborate in supposedly fake broken English then switches topic or turns to the other person. Despite their capability of not breaking character, even Andy and Conan were made uncomfortable at some point... and in the long run it might result disrespectful never answering main questions (that's maybe why Letterman and Leno don't seem to be able to tame him). I understand his style. No hate. Just my 2 cents.
84 Ateo well you see I guess they do not care and they are probably right. I mean Benigni should be remembered for Life is Beautiful and a pair of other movies... but overall he is a second line comedy actor. Topped by many Italians imho: Dario fo, Beppe Grillo, Alberto Sordi, Massimo Troisi, Corrado Guzzanti, so many come to mind...
Perché deve sempre fare il clown, è così anche a casa con la moglie? Poi non è molto educato toccare le persone e le donne in particolare; in medio oriente passerebbe dei grossi guai.
