I used to watch this whenever I could and fell for Michael Praed instantly. The magical music of Clannad has always been my favourite ever since I first heard it watching Robin Of Sherwood, and I would spend hours listening to the CD and staring at the pictures of the characters, silently wishing I could be there Watching this now brings it all back Michael Praed will always be the perfect Robin Hood to me. Thank you for this Beautiful video 🏹👩❤️💋👨
These series i was watched my childhood & youngest times national TV in sri lanka. I never forgotten tv series michael pread is the best Robin Hood
I think the actors are very fortunate to have so much beautifully composed footage showing just how fresh and lovely they were in their youth. So much that is done now somehow manages to make attractive people look ugly. This show did just the opposite. It created a sense of timeless beauty.
These two had loads of sweet moments. For me nothing beats 1:27. He's just fallen for her, but she won't change her plans of joining a convent. He respects her wish and even takes her there. When they say goodbye, he's silently begging her to reconsider. No words, all in his eyes/face. Great stuff.
Layla Mad I’ve just searched for robin of sherwood as I’m reading the classic story to my son who is eight. Like you this series feels like it was my childhood. I was ten when this first aired and I could not wait for Saturday evenings to come. My mum certainly didn’t have to call me in for Dinner on that evening! I was there waiting for The beautiful sound of that theme tune.........Robinnn!... Robinnn!.....the hooded man!
it was so sad when he died. Nobody could ever replace him. Not even Sean Connery. I watch Micheal Praed playing Robin over and over. This series with him in it is my favorite medieval era film. Its one of the most accurate film depicting this era.
The best RH image ever seen.Twas 1985 our cruel soviet government kindly gave permission to translate it into russian an to show these series. And as l was a 10year old soviet pupil the event obviously greatly impressed us me and my generation. We made bows, arrows ,shields, swords and fought in nearest city parks of our district.😅
I watch Michael Praed over and over again. His acting in Robin just grips you. Its the most authentic medival films ive ever seen. I hated to see him die. Why couldn't he have just stayed in there a little longer!
When I think of Robin hood the mIchael praed version series is what I think of. There was a certain magic to it. But also the guy playing Gisborne (Richard addy?), was an awesome villain.
amen to that brother. compare it to the The Kevin Costner movie and what a pile that was for example. It had a celtic theme and introduced, humor, mysticism and drama. It was the Game of Thrones of the 80s
This is such a good fan made video. So beautiful and moving,it really captures the Robin and Marion relationship from the series. Thank you for making this video. 💚🌲🏹
I'm a grown man, 35 and when I watched RoS for the first time in 2011 I really enjoyed it. It might seem silly, but I must admit when Robin was killed I cried a bit but held it back. I have all the episodes and special features and the soundtrack plus some unreleased music I've found.
To be fair there was excellent chemistry between Judy and Michael. One only had to watch "the Swords of Weyland" when Marion was "pretending" to kiss Michael passionately whilst he whispered an escape plan in her ear. However you could see they were REALLY going for it!
I like the head covering the actress wears at about 1:05 since it resembles the one worn by the actress who played Marian in the 1938 Robin Hood film starring Erroll Flynn. May have to give this t.v. version a try!
Her name was Olivia de Havilland, god bless her soul - the one who played Maid Marian in the 1938 movie. And I could recommend this tv show, thhe costumes and decorations in it were named the most accurate to tiime period, and if you like adventure genre and mystical celtic themes you might even like it =)
Whose the singer sorry? Magnificent! It makes me cry for sure. I will turn 35 next week and still looking for my love. I never have kissed anyone even, so far
