I loved how it ended with Mac cradling his daughters while grieving for his other daughter. I know that Robin is technically his niece but I considered him her father as he was the one who raised her. Robin, Maxie, and Georgie will always be sisters/cousins to me.
@@renealexander2703 I understand all of that and you are right. But, as Robin said when Robert came back into her life, Mac was the one who was there for her when she needed him such as when she was diagnosed. He is a father figure to her and always will be.
@@krisstinawilson4461 , but where was Mac when she was born? Where was Mac when Robin first showed up on GH in 1985 when she was a vulnerable little girl? Where was Mac when she was a small child that needed food, shelter, money and safety? Where was Mac when Robin was in a coma? Where was Mac when Robin's grandmother died? Where was Mac when he caused the death of Robert's parents and fiance and ran off? Where was Mac when Robin was kidnapped as a little girl? It doesn't matter what Guza had Robin say. Guza hated most of the GH vets, especially Robert and Frisco. Robert was there for Robin when she was a small child and a teen at her most vulnerable way before Mac came into her life. Mac even told his girlfriend Dominique that she was more important to him than Robin. Robert has never said anything like that. Robert was there many times for Robin and will always be her father. I don't understand why others constantly put down others just to boost Mac. Mac has a place in her life. He is her uncle. I don't see why some try to diminish her parents place in her life. Why this need for Mac to steal other people's children and wanting him to steal his own brother's child? I love Robin and Robert's relationship. He is her father and Mac can not take that away.
Also, Felicia was there when Robin was diagnosed, but she never gets any credit for it. Felicia was there for Robin since day one way before Mac came along. Felicia was there for Robin when she was a little girl, a teen and an adult. She is Robin's constant. But she never gets credit for it. Mac is the only one allowed credit for anything. Robin would come to Felicia to talk about things that she did not want to talk about with Mac. Felicia was often times the referee or mediator to Mac and Robin when they would argue constantly. Felicia helped Mac raise Robin, but that is never acknowledged and is often ignored. It's only acknowledged that Mac helped Felicia raise her girls. Heck, some people even believe that Mac raised Felicia's daughters all by himself. But that is not true. Felicia was a single mother for several years and she and her daughters did not live with Mac.
I always cry when Robin finds out the truth and Maxie talks to her afterward!! Ahh! It's so sad because Georgie never did ANYTHING mean to another character or anything. She was soo sweet and kind and genuine! =(
That moment at 4:59 when you see Robin curled up with Maxie on the hospital bed...grown women but looking so tiny and fragile and childlike snuggled up on the bed. That is a moment that is not noticed by many but adds tremendously to the pathos of all of this. They are just little girls, sisters of blood and heart, clinging to each other.
Oh, goodness. I never cry at Soap Operas and I've watched them my whole life. But when Mac said "my little girl's gone" I'm gonna admit, I couldn't handle it.
Yeah i cried so so much when emily died the biggest mistake gh made was killing her off still mad about it the saddest death for me will always be Emily's by far second probably georgie's nathans death was sad too
Kirsten Storms rally made me feel my emotions when the girl portraying her sister was murdered she tugged at every bit of my heartstrings she really is such a exceptional actress this made me cry so hard for hours
they need to bring Georgie back. the actress who played her did a brilliant job and did not know until the last minute that she was being killed off. I hate the way GH kills people off. it is not fair
How could Kristen NOT be nominated for an emmy????? She was AMAZING during this s/l. How could only TG be nominated for GH? Kristen and TYLER were so robbed!!
Some of the best all round soap ever. Acting and writing. Poor Mac. Father to those girls while their mother was MIA. Those girls were so beautiful. I miss Robin.
"No, no, no, no, no. You can't leave me. You can't leave me." God, even four years later that's still heartbreaking. Mac is pretty much all the family Maxie has left. Especially now without Robin.
I love both jmb and KS but I kind of wish KS won the Emmy in 2009 because her grief over Georgie destroyed me! but jmb also had a good SL lol I LOVE both and Maxie in the beginning "I wanna see my sister!" RUINED ME.
Poor Robin, she's grieving to but she had to put her grief aside to be strong for Mac and Maxie. Though in retro spect, probably a good thing she did cuz her grief led her to Patrick. Possible Emma wouldn't exist without it. or atleast that Patrick wouldn't have been her father
oddly enough, Robin's scenes moved me more than Maxie' did. sure, Kirsten Storms is amazing and all, everyone knows that. but Kimberly McCullough did such a fantastic job here- just broke my heart when she said "why does everyone I love have to die?" Robin's such a complex character and we need to see more of her.
@@sedinmagic1591 he's the succubus that has continually dragged down the ratings since he became the untouchable "star" of General Mafia. And Maurice Benard is just...TERRIBLE now. He used to be decent (I remember loving him as Nico on AMC) but now he just stutter-stammer-barks through every scene while glowering and calls that acting.
so agreed.. Jen is good.. Like her.. But Kirsten would have been out of this world when Robin died.... Robin was the glue that held them together.. Wish KS would have been able to done that seen
I seriously thought I could get through this without so much as one tear, boy was I wrong. I bawled and I wasn't even that much of a fan of Georgie or her family. Curse John J. York and Kirsten Storms for making me cry so much! Lol.
And why didn't give this type of material to Mac when Robin "died" in February? He has one scene in a hospital room with Anna but thats it besides the funeral. I felt like they should have done more with Mac during Robin's death storyline. Out of everyone he should have been most affected by Robin's death...
I missed this whole time period, who did it turn out murdered her? And Robin has the ultimate baby face, 15 years from now she'll still look like she's 18 lol
Most underrated actor in all of Daytime TV - is John J York. With all the Death GH has thrown at him he has never even been NOMINATED!!!! Hoping when he comes back he can be on the canvas full time and get a story that his worthy of his abilities. Also - GH should never have killed Georgie.
They really arent writing these shows like this anymore nothing interesting is happening! It all Sonny Carly Ava Sam And Drew its really boring no onehas the epic loves anymore, or real raw emotional stuff! The characters are just really boring now.
they have killed off soooo many characters in the past few years. i understand soaps are suffering budget cuts, but characters can leave the show w/o being killed off...do the writers understand this concept?
this makes me more sad now! now Robin is gone, Mac and Maxie only have each other now. Maxie kicked Spin out(lost a friend), Matt broke up with her(lost a bf). I feel so bad!
I believe that Coop was suspicious that he knew who was behind it. But because of his checkered past he could be a suspect. He knew Georgie suspected him, so he had to be careful. Then Diego got him.
The emotion of this is blunted by Robin being in professional/counselor mode during all this. This was not a time for a speech on moving on with their lives. Nevertheless, such a sad storyline, and it made me wish the show gave Mac something better to do more often. Is the guy even still on?
This whole storyline was crazy..... Does anyone remember the wierdo who was waiting tables at the Kelly's diner? Everyone thought he looked familiar. I believe the plot was leading up to him as the TMK, and the writers tried to make you believe Coop was the murderer. Anyway, the waiter didn't last too long on the show and Coop's portrayer wanted to leave gh (newborn). That's when we had the writer's strike and the plot got flip-flopped around. Hence, welcome back Deigo!
@girldevl Diego was Lorenzo Alcazar's son and he wanted to get back at everyone who hurt him and his father (even though in my opinion they both deserved everything they got but thats just my opinion) but instead of targeting the people directly he went after their loved one's instead.
Mac, Anna, Sonny, Jason and Maxie all should have been devastated when Robin died. I don't know how they acted at the funeral because I still can't bring myself to watch it but in other scenes it seemed like only Patrick and Robert were the ones sufficiently hurt.
No Diego Alcazar was the killer, Cooper suspected someone was the killer and got to close to the truth hence why he was killed :( The writers just led us to believe it was Coop but he was the one who was closest to solving the case. At least I think that is right.
2 things. 1. robin is alive her death was staged just in case you don't know. 2. maxie was devastated and had a melt down, and mac was very sad to but tried staying strong for maxie, as for anna jason and sonny you are right not too much show of devestation, but they were.
