Christmas 2022 has come and gone, but my love of Robin is as strong as the day I heard his glorious voice singing Massachusetts. Since he flew off with the angels, I often think about him and miss him. He is truly unforgettable. His Christmas album is heavenly and I play it all year round. Thank you Robin; not only for sharing your breath-taking voice, but just for being who you were. You made the world a more joyful and more beautiful place. No one will ever replace you. 🥰

You can almost track Robin's reflections about his own mortality and spirituality as his illness became worse. The Christmas album, the special lyrics of Noel... singing the Manx National Anthem ELLAN VANNIN with a school choir...and singing with the soldiers. You could almost feel him digging deep in his soul and reflecting on what was really important and giving back in appreciation for his success. That's not even counting his writing GIVE ME A SMILE and DON'T CRY ALONE which were obviously for his family. They say he never gave up hope and fought the good fight til the end but he was also very grounded and realistic. The loss of Andy, his father...and worst of all, his twin, Maurice so quickly on top of his bad health must have sometimes made him feel like a rudderless boat. Especially with his mother and Barry being so far away in Miami. I pray that he found peace of mind after reflection and keeping busy with RJ on the Titanic Requem. Actually, ELLAN VANNIN was about a sea disaster,also. They said when he was so gravely ill he spoke a great deal about Mo. They are reunited now and singing where there are no separations and I'll bet he still gets that exasperated look on his face that he sometimes got when Mo was goofing around. Go rest high on the mountain, guys, your earthly work is over.
A lump came in my throat as I listened to one of my favorite carols sung in Robin's melodic voice. Christmas is very sentimental for most people, anyway; so when you add Robin's almost operatic voice it is very haunting. I would have loved to hear him sing OH HOLY NIGHT.
So good to hear Robin talking of his childhood and his spiritual side and how important that was in his life. The Bee Gees never spoke much about their Christian side but you could see it in their lives and always knew it was there I think!
@@valeriacristina9974 - He said he believed in god. I am an Atheist but everyone has a right to their beliefs. You don't have to go to church to be spiritual and a good person. Robin was deep down very spiritual.
After listening to this album and the songs he chose, I'd have to think that Robin held onto his religious beliefs from his childhood. He talked about it at the end of his Christmas album. I think in his heart, he was a believer.
Robin is such a sweet person. Love this interview. Shows his tenderness and love for Christ and people in general. I can never get enough of his angelic voice. RIP Robin

Surely you can understand that Robin was saying he is spiritual and religious. These songs he came here to sing are Christian based. I love Robin too. He sings with Angels now and ,yes, his Spirit is with us too. If you don't know these things then you don't know Robin and how he believed.

It gives us engineers passion as first responders to see that we change the world not artists not fireman not police not doctors of medicine but engineers that make and create all of there equipment and communications. I listened to Robin's Xmas album on here and thought it was very good and very different at the same time. There was no "White Christmas", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"...the kind of songs that are most common nowadays on it. But after coming across this video, I understood why. Robin spent a lot of his childhood in a very different time zone! (Christmas is summertime in Australia)
