Robin was so interesting and intelligent. I love him and his beautiful voice. He was so handsome and sexy. He was downright gorgeous. My granddaughter loves him too. She loves his blue lenses in his glasses. He wore them, when he got older. She wears them and sings along with him. Rest In Peace, Rob. You are truly loved and missed. ❤️🌹❤️
I love these gems Robin left for us. He was so engaging; fun and witty - smart. Most adorable history buff EVER. It would be hard to remember any history with all that dazzling Robin beauty on display, but I guarantee I'd never miss a class!! xxx
Robin was a very special person. Who would not like be with him and listen to his stories and still hear his beautiful voice, singing for hours and hours? He in his passage on Earth left his mark forever as a wonderful human being, a singer and an amazing songwriter. Great interview and the song at the end.
He probably would have been, but I'm glad he became a singer-songwriter with and without the BeeGees. His voice just can't be missed, as well as some songs with almost uniquely pieces of history in it. OR his Final work; Titanic Requiem....
Could listen to Robin talk on ANY subject for hours upon endless hours!! However having been bitten by the "history-loving-bug" myself, I especially enjoyed this clip! And Robin is so freakin' adorable here!! He's got that "impish" little smile, and with his unique sense of humor...and then throw in his Brit accent!!...Ahem!... say no more!!!
Robin Gibb was a walking Book of Knowledge. I could have spent days just talking about England's many histories. Unbelievable! My very fav words he spoke alot is "That's Right!". His home was 1000 yrs.old. ohhh the history...Robin spoke those walls...
Tiff Tiff Here Leading The Bee Gee Army Robin Was One Big Book Of Knowledge According to the Other Cute Twin Mo He Said He Was Just A Smart Guy always wanted To Learn And Really Cute I Might Add😋😋😋😋
I see Andy and Barry moves during his performance. Can you imagine if this guy would have had a chance at higher education? He's very very intelligent!
So real, so authentic, so intelligent, a brilliant song writer and musician. Pity he didn't do a whole series of docs to educate us to value history more. l love his enthusiasm. Thanks for sharing.
My one regret in life is l never got to meet robin. His voice puts me in the best mood ever. I just love his personality and everything else about him. Oh to have a time machine...........♥️😘♥️😘♥️😘♥️😘♥️😘😘♥️😘😗

The thing I loved most about Robin was him being so unique he was not ashamed to be himself. I have watched old concerts footage before their hit album main course and what I loved most between 1970 and 1974 was that robin always did his little cute dances. I loved it I thought he was so cute and was not afraid to just be robin gibb. Aside from being funny witty and super smart he had it all I miss him dearly. R.I.P Andy, Moe, Robin, gone too soon but never forgotten thank goodness we still have Barry still with us. I can’t wait for the new bee Gees documentary airing next Saturday called how do you mend a broken a heart.
RIP Robin. You, along with your brothers have given us a treasure trove of music that is both endless and timeless. Thank you! You are the best of the best.
I read (but I don’t remember where so I can’t vouch for the truth of it) that Robin was told just around the SNF explosion not to dance or move on stage as he did because it was “unsymmetrical “ and not in keeping with the image the band should project. This is so sad. After that he was very closed off in his body language on stage. He was a very joyous presence in their performances of their upbeat numbers and it’s too bad that was taken away. He was made to feel self-conscious about his weight eventually too by people always asking him why he was so thin. By the ‘90s he always wore big, loose jackets on stage which was a shame. He was thin but attractively so, at least until he became ill.
Well, Robin and I have British history in common, and I'm an American. I also love American history, too! I thoroughly enjoyed his verbiage with teaching Leo Sayer Brit history. He was so enthusiastic when teaching! What a very intelligent guy! Miss him here on this earth.
Linda HH I agree with you wholeheartedly, I appreciate history and I had a wonderful experience working with an ethnographer for sometime as an indigenous Native American Indian. These two artist are still amazing to listen to. God Bless, Stay Healthy and Positive. 🙇🏻♀️🔍🎤🎶🎵❤️🙏🏽🇺🇸
Robin's avid interest in, and appreciation for history significantly speaks to his "looking outward" approach to life: he seems to take the "long view of life" -- seeming neither to be narcissistic and focus on his fame and wealth or focusing on personal losses and disappointments (loss of brother Andy, for instance). It is such a testimony to his integrity that he did neither. Thank you so much for posting this. I got to know Robin just a little better, and I thank you for this opportunity to see more facets of his sterling character.
When his twin died,..well that's when it all changed with Robin. Poor Robin,.... he never came to terms with that particular personal loss of losing Mo.😢
He did speak of being kept away from his two oldest children, and of course the loss of Mo. He said those two things were the most devastating things to happen to him.
I agree with +allymayful, it would have been great for Robin to do a series of history documentaries. Would have been much more interesting and enjoyable learning from someone with a passion for the subject and who could interject some humor into it. His speaking voice is very soothing as well, just as much as his singing voice. He was very knowledgeable about a great many things because he never stopped reading and learning all he could -though history was his favorite. It's as though an entire library has been destroyed when someone dies; all of the knowledge they accrued throughout their lifetime, if it hasn't been passed on, is suddenly gone.
Wow Leo Sayer in Bristol amazing that 1983, that's about 29 years ago I think. Interesting that Leo's talking to Robin Gibb about Robin's hobby. A brilliant video, immensely enjoy watching it....thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I remember so well watching it on TV at the time, in 1983 I believe? I love you so much, Robin, you will be in my heart forever, sleep safely darling.
As far as I'm a fan of the Beatles and bee gees John lennon and Robin gibb were alike some in perspective... John was a bookish person and Robin as well has a lots of love for history... John lennon was the wittiest and funny guy of the Beatles whereas Robin did same thing also he was the bomb and just shocked the other 2 guys when Robin released his wittiest and funniest side... And lastly John and Robin has a voice that no one can ever did and could imitate it... I love John lennon and this beautiful man Robin gibb 😍 😍 😍
You are so right! I have been mad on John Lennon for so long, and have recently got into Robin, and i realised yesterday he is very similar to John and that is why i like him. Robin is so, so cool.
John had an arrogance about him which I do not think Robin has at all. Believe me when the Beatles were popular, I was into Lennon too but seeing him from different aspects he was pretty well self-absorbed and arrogant. I just can't see Robin like that.
@@katie-didellis2437 Fair point Katie. I think the similarities i mean are the intellectual curiosity, wit, and charisma they both share. Robin doesn't have the sharp temper and arrogance (like you say) that John had..
@@katie-didellis2437 its true the bee gees robin barry and maurice have humility charisma,to his fans and more close and warm thats whay i love bee gees more than beatles
Gosh, they really don’t make em like they used to. Extraordinarily talented with such a brilliant intelligence, and the good looks to match. Robin was such a gift to humanity… So charming, witty, and smart. Of course he would be successful. And of course he was loved and will always be loved! ❤️ And to think that people today idolize empty-headed good for nothing mediocre talents… They need to know of Robin Gibb and the Bee Gees in general! Such a Diamond of a human being, he’s what the world needs to be. I’d love to take a walk with him from Bristol to London and I’d happily listen to everything and anything he’d want to go on about! 😂❤️
In 1983 I was 17. I am glad I danced Bee Gees music. And of course I remember this beautiful song. The Bee Gees at the ´80s sounded different than from the ´70s. And always great songs.
Oh robin miss you, how U were able to know we're they'd be day by day, il never guess, but lucky U web twinkle. Congrats, they used to live round from us before they went Australia. Nice family. Talent out this world, never will U hear another robin or Maurice gibb again, n totally funny n fun to know n listen to. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
depois que robi gibb se foi me tornei mais fã deles toda noite durmo vendo os vidios dele robi e seus irmãos me apaixonei com as músicas de robi gibb ..
No sign whatsoever of the eccentricity that he is often accused of being. All I see is a highly intelligent man who was. Not afraid to be himself. He shone when away from his brothers.
It's almost like he lived a double life....there was this side to him....then there was the moody, eccentric, pill-popping adulterous side that really only their families saw.
Este hombre era maravilloso cada ves que veo algo nuevo de el me sorprende y hace que lo ame más,todo sobre el es maravilloso Dios lo tenga en la gloria.mi maravilloso Robin..
Because they are phenomenal, and charming as well. Their harmonies are other-worldly. Once people start diving into The Bee Gees, they learn that. I always say if you think you aren’t a fan, it’s because you aren’t aware of their body of work. There is a Bee Gees song for everyone to love. (many, many songs actually.). How many people are aware of this wonderful song? Not enough.
I got stuck on watching Robin Gibb videos about 3 or 4 years ago. Stopped for a while, but now I'm back. Sometimes before I know it, it's 2 in the morning, and I just want to watch one more, one more time. Good thing I have nowhere to go. lol
Are you still here? I've joined you. Being stuck in Robin Gibb land is the best land to find yourself stuck in. I'll take it over this 2021 land I'm actually living in any day! :)
