I love Robin. His smile was mesmerizing.. his eyes were tantalizing. He was very well spoken, charming & charismatic. I love his magnetic personality & intelligence. Robin was kept from his children for 6 years when he divorced his first wife and he said it drove him to near madness. He tried consistently to get the courts to overturn that decision and advocated strongly for fathers’ rights. He finally was able to get his rights restored and worked hard (and succeeded) in repairing his relationships with his son and daughter. Don’t make glib assumptions about people and their feelings or motivations.
I miss when tv was laid back and conversational like this. No flashy sets or gimmicks. Robin was able to relax and be himself, compared to most interviews I've seen. RIP Robin.

He so prophetically described his brother, Andy: ". . .young people in their twenties who come into a lot of money are vulnerable (to using drugs). . .". How Robin must have wept at the memory of these words!
@@Farrah300 Andy became very ill at Robin's house. His mother found out and called. Robin told her not to come and to stop babying Andy. She went of course and spent Andy's 30th birthday with him, Robin didn't go. Then Andy had to go to hospital and Barbara was all alone there too. The following morning Andy died. It was all very sudden. Still no Robin. He truly didn't care. That's despicable behaviour towards his younger brother. Heartless actually. He was no help to his mother either. It's no wonder Hugh tried to have him committed. He was seriously mentally ill. No normal person acts like that 🤬

The only mental issues he had was depression which can happen to anyone and possibly PTSD. Andy sadly didn’t want to be helped most of the time.

I prefer to remember him like this,I just watched one of his last appearance ( something with soldiers),I cant believe how thin his face was towards the end,did he just have massive cheekbones or something that we just never saw with more weight on him? Sweet, beautiful Robin. I so wish he could have been spared all the grief of losing Mo, and then those last couple of horribly sick years he fought cancer. But one thing about Robin, he Never played the victim. Not long before he passed away he did a radio interview saying he was fit as a fiddle.😧 Lovely, lovely man in every way. Rest Well, Robin.🙏💜
