Thanks you for the video. I've seen the Northern Venture unload aggregate at Fairport Harbor at the beginning of the season. Then a couple times in Cleveland heading up the Cuyahoga River, I believe with cement. Its raised deck is unique. Most of shipping I observe is talconite since the Cleveland Bulk Terminal is right next to Wendy Beach where I windsurf. Thank you again, Brant
I haven’t been to Port Colborne in 7+ years. Prior to that I’d ride my bike from Port Colborne north to St Cath. I’d always hope to see rail traffic where the bike path crosses the row at the elevators. But never any activity. I assumed it was OTS. Now that it’s open I should take a drive up from Buffalo and ride again. Thanks for the post!
What route did you take to STC? I take it you didn't go through Welland? The roads I'm familiar with in this area are far from bike-friendly, and the drivers on the road are even worse.
Really enjoyed the history and obvs the drone shots on this one Nigel. Well done. Also. Is the rail track still in use? I can’t wait for Kathy Mckeil to come back as a bulker 🥹. And finally. Have you done Algoma’s Dool? She’s prolly on your list somewhere. Have lots of fun love. Lynxx
