I always disliked Demetrius ever since Sebastian told me he forced him to get rid of his snowman but let Maru keep hers. He has obvious favoritism towards his biological daughter.
I like to think that the Snow Goon used to scare Maru and Demetrius still thinks she's afraid of it even though she's an adult. Still bad, but it's not completely malicious.

The no regulations and nature preservation life~~~ That line "does anybody in this town care about the trees" was also a improv line by me in the animation, I went onto a big rant and that came out haha
@@Caynug Good, because I wondered the same thing when I started playing lol. I visited the forest one day, and my real life husband had cut down all the trees in our multi-player game. I was upset, the poor trees! The animals need them! Now I've made a plantation in the train area so I won't hurt the forest hah.
Love this family dynamic, Robin is a obsessive workaholic and Demetrius is to big brain for his own good and is mean to Sebastian. No wonder Sebastian is emo and smokes
@Endev_Prime fair point, but he does fell very alienated from the rest of the family, which can cause a person to isolate themselves and look for other means of feeling the dopamine that comes with feeling welcomed and belonged, such as substance abuse.
I never noticed anything wrong with them other than Sebastian always in his bedroom. Could somebody tell me why u consider them a weird family? I haven’t been playing for very long.
@@fabio.b3711 Oh boy here we go Demetrius and Sebastian do NOT get along at all, according to Sebastian, Demetrius scolds him and treats him badly while favoring Maru. Robin knows about the whole thing and does nothing to change the situation. Sebastian lives in the basement (isolated from the house with NO WINDOWS so no sunlight for him) and gets told his work isn't valid (because he works from home), while Maru gets a regular room + a telescope space all for herself lol, it doesn't seem fair. (Spoilers for Maru's 2 heart cutscene) Also Demetrius is kinda weird (overprotective) about Maru, there's a cutscene where he says he doesn't want the farmer to ruin Maru's life by getting close to her. So yeah kinda dysfunctional lol
Demetrius demanding that Sebastian go back into the basement genuinely made me laugh out loud. Through the entire argument with Robin, he’s just calm af but Sebastian shows his face before dark and Demetrius just starts yelling Poor Sebby
In stardew valley: the farmer is an unstoppable glitch, chopping everything he wants to, shoot eggs and tomatoes to any soul he wants, forcing people to ruin their schedule with chairs, LITERALLY DEVELOPING WAYS TO INFINITELY GENERATE ITEMS like diamonds, calculating clay spots, unraveling every single anomaly in the game, finding inf money loopholes, freely invading privacy after giving a few random items, using almost any space in the town to build whatever he wants, embarrass mayor lewis for life, destroying the hearts of any spouse. Poor Sabastian man. Among all the male marriage candidates, I chose him for my farmer. Demetrius is so calm to people except to Sabastian and it hurts to see him like treated that in their family. Also, can't wait for you to do more episodes^^ I would LOVE to see how you'll portray the festivals and the rest of the characters! Your artstyle and the expressions are really good!❤️ :D
Demetrius scolding Sebastian for literally existing had me dying, my poor boy omg. Marrying him was the best thing I did in this game. When I got Maru's 2 heart cutscene, where Demetrius goes all "don't you dare to ruin Maru's future", I was like "sir, please, chill. I'm here for the goblin downstairs". I wish we could have a dialogue option like this, I bet his reaction would be priceless lol Amazing animation, btw! Your take on this dysfunctional family was on point, I loved it 💜

I married sebastian and I went to Robin's and kept getting these cut scenes. I wan't expecting the hardwood bed one and had a friend on my farm. I was supposed to be getting something and then was like "Hold on, I have to deal with my in laws"
I married Sebby too and honestly some people hate his “loner..self-centered” personality but I can relate to him cause sometimes I get mad or annoyed that my friends want to call or hangout with me when I’m not ready. Anyways, after marrying him he’s an amazing husband and father. He will say something like “maybe when (child’s name here) is older I will attach a side car to my bike and we can all go for a ride!” I was like awww ☺️In my next save file I think I’ll try to Marry Shane. He comes off as a turd but he’s low key a gummy bear.

Even if tomatoes are "technically" a fruit, the definition of a fruit versus a vegetable has always been vague (there is no scientific way to classify what makes a vegetable - they are just parts of plants that we eat) and fruit as it is commonly known is much older as a concept than fruit as a scientific part of a plant.
Yeah, like HrHaakon said, vegetable is a culinary term. (Which is generally what we use in common parlance, when we ask for groceries to _cook_ >.> *Demetrius* ...). And a _whole lot_ of culinary veggies are fruit/seeds. As a fruitarian (mental, ocd-thing, _not_ proselytizing) it's been interesting to see people go from a panicked picturing of me only eating oranges and bananas - to intrigued or thoughtful as I explain what I eat, and how much of what humans eat are technically fruits and seeds rather than the plant itself. Soy, wheat, rice - heck, mushrooms are the fruit bodies of fungi! :D
when Demetrius asks me that I always have to answer that tomatoes are vegetables...because when you put tomatoes in the preserve jar you get pickled tomatoes, not tomato jam. Therefore, by the classification of the world we're in, tomatoes are vegetables.

This was really great. The only unrealistic thing was that the day after you came too late was not a thursday and robin did not go out to do her fitness class.
I loved it! I love the little surprises like Toroto, Sebastian taking it easy, Courage, the struggles of clearing out space for a new building (the 1.5 update allows you to click animals off the area even on your Switch). I also loved all different facial expressions. Extremely well done! I would love to see more. The pool giving you energy and the mines would be cool to see.

I feel like Demetrius is portrayed as non-neurotypical, but in the sense that he isn't aware of it and therefore isn't helping himself to better communicate both ways with those around him
Just looked up how much a large shed would cost at home depot, those are any where from $1,500 to $4,000 dollars. How is it that a shed cost $15,000? Robin either just pulled that number out of her ass or the Stardew valley universe is dealing with some extreme inflation. Edit: Guys, I get it. 1 gold does not equal 1 dollar in the stardew valley universe but 15,000 gold is still a lot. Not to mention that your character is the one who gives her the materials for the job.
@@beanny39 Yes, local materials that YOU the player procured from YOUR farm. You are literally doing part of her job for her by getting the materials so she doesn't have to buy them. The least she can do is give you a discount.

Sebastian ended up becoming my Farmer's best friend during my first play through. Initially I was trying to romance Maru, but yeah...guess who turned me away from that idea? Her Dad. Demetrius is very condescending towards everyone except his Daughter. I love Robin, though, so if he's good for her who am I to judge? I ended up romancing Leah, instead. Lol..

@@sodonewithit.literally The only characters I've ever completed a romance path with are Leah, Emily and Penny. Emily and Penny come with obnoxious in-laws, and Leah has an abuse ex who's stalking her, so I guess no one's life or personal baggage is completely perfect. 😂 Concerned Ape knocked this game out of the park when he thought of all these dynamics.

Exactly; I don't see why more people don't realize that. Heck, by botanical definition, Strawberry is a vegetable (since the tasty part is the stem), and the seeds on the sides are fruits. Raise awareness for the botanical/culinary divide between fruit and vegetable terminology.

You can click on the pet (or farm animal) while still in the building screen to get it to move out of the way. But if there are weeds there? Good luck.

It was my neighbor's dog that decided to sleep in my house every day. *ALL OF MY HATE* I don't even like dogs!
I love your videos! In addition to being funny and very well animated, they have their own style and represent the game very well. In my opinion, the best stardew valley animations.

The animation is incredible, the personalities of the characters are right on, the dialogue is hilarious, but this is also slightly terrifying! I really like it but it’s kind of like a train wreck…you can’t look away! Very creative 💜💜💜

If you want an idea, try getting to a high enough friendship level to dance with them at the flower dance. If you can get Mathew back, he does a REALLY good Pam voice if you want to end with that as a joke. I swear I give everyone stuff they love and they still tell me no.
