Whoa! It's amazing how Robin Strasser can progress from a range of emotions with such facility at the speed of light! Love, then contempt, then remorse, and back to love again! All within a span of four minutes. That's great acting!
Those deep emotions Dorian has...so raw. And even when she was so young, her face was so expressive and changeable. She had a piercing tongue, yet she had heart.
True, but I don't think Dorian was bipolar. She had high anxiety, which she masked with displays of anger and post traumatic stress disorder from the maternal beatings she had sustained as a child. A therapist could have helped her manage her anger and her fears. I love Dorian...that lady had fire and heart. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Yes and no. The first two Dorian's were not played for glamour or over the top antics. They were still ruthless and slightly evil depending on the day of the week. However, Robin had played Rachel on Another World. Rachel was created by Agnes Nixon who had dipped into her AMC story bible and used the Erica character (along with the Mona character in terms of Rachel's mother Ida) as the basis for Rachel that Robin originated. There are some clips and even a full episode of Robin in the role on YT as well as some pictures. It's uncanny how much she really looked like Susan/ Erica a decade earlier. When Robin took over the role of Dorian she chose to play it more in tone to Rachel. So, yes she did play up the "Erica" traits but they were under the gaze of the Rachel character. Who, would become very tame as time went on under her mainstay actress. Still a fun character regardless and it is weird to see how Rachel progressed in comparison to Erica.
Actually, Dorian is more blunt and direct. The way she yells, _I hate you_ to her lover out of the hurt and anger is indicative of her direct nature. You know where you stand with Dorian Cramer Lord.
@@KRstar78: Not everyone...not me, not Cassie and not Kelly and later on, not Blair. And even Cord and Tina's kids take a shine to her at Blair's second wedding, which I'm sure would irk the self-righteous Cord and Tina. It's mostly the old money country club clique, including Viki and the elder Buchanons who hate Dorian.
