Nice try. I don't think so. Probably in your own mind. I really don't understand how anyone can even begin to consider still applauding all these people who entertained us for so many years ...only to find out later they were all perform under the influence of so many drugs and alcohol. Without such crutches, they apparently could not perform ....so why make such outlandish accolades to these guys and gals??? There are no "holes" left in the world when these people killed themselves over the years of drug and alcohol abuse. Sadly, there is a huge demographic that simply does not see it this way. They think these performances were fantastic ...and have no interest in what was going on behind the scenes ...probably because they are users themselves, and see absolutely nothing wrong with performing "high and drunk". If this is the case ....then I have answered my myself ....and now I understand
@@taxicamel Nice judgement and ignorance of mental illness, that many people, like Robin, used drugs to "feel normal". His brain was firing on 50 cylinders at full throttle, 24/7. Try being a parent of a kid like that. You see genius, chaos and all kinds of silliness and craziness all at once. Culture had something to do with it, because he was not popular as kid. You apparently love to judge others without knowing a phucking thing about the people or their problems, making blanket statements, assumptions and assessments, most likely projecting the hateful misery of your own life's failures.
Robin Williams is a freak of comedy nature. I've been making people laugh for the better part of thirty years. Robin could be on 3 different ADHD medications with a scotch whiskey chaser and still be twice as quick as me with the repartee. Not that I am slow by any means. His mind works that fast. A true to life comic genius. I never had the opportunity to meet him or see him live in person but like countless millions of others, God, I miss him.
Natural unrestrained genius, hollowood extracts talent & souls, trauma induced mind control tv disney nasa 24/7, the spiritual ones find it hard amongst the corruption. Michelle Gibson has a good media/medea subject break down. kind regard real ones
Robins interview with Charlie Rose is the best feel good thing . I don't think Rose stopped laughing the whole time. And Robins expresseion was so good hearted.
Don't you think that Robin Williams is the finest American comedian of all time, who else can do this effortless improvisation like him, like if you do!
Ivan Duckford he rambles on with some of the most creative and well placed jokes ever created, in my opinion. I love rambling jokes because it means you can keep getting more but you never know what to expect. That’s my opinion, though, I could see how he’s a bit over the top for you
I've seen a number of Robin Williams interviews and stand ups over the years. The thing I noticed is this: though he did have a sharp mind, he also repeated a lot of material. He would work things out in different interviews and then add a few things. The jokes and ramblings that worked, he would put in his stand ups. The more you watch his interviews, the more you see it. All comedians do it. But I would say that he was probably one of the best. BUT he looked up to the Marx Brothers, especially Groucho.
I’ve never seen someone laugh so hard when Johnny Carson had him on his late night show! He truly loved having him on and praised his unbelievable talent.
Yes, grew up watching him. He had always been there when my family when we needed cheering up or inspiration. I still and always will miss the force that is Robin Williams. ❤️
@@taxicamel He went to rehab multiple times for not just drugs, but also Alcohol. The majority of his shows, especially later in life, were done while sober. His talent was there before and after his substance abuse. To make the ignorant statement that it was drugs before every performance and to suggest that anyone "likes that" is just bush league on your part. Go troll somewhere else.
@@JackiePhillipsTheSocialPet Earlier in his career he was in and out of Rehab for drugs. Later in life he also went to Rehab for alcohol abuse. He was incredible before substance abuse and after. It is unfortunate when people make fun of incredible people who struggle with substance abuse or psychological problems. Robin was amazing in spite of his problems, not because of them.
@@kaalen24 "Making fun of"? How old are you? 12? I am being honest and acknowledging his addictions and issues, which so many people want to ignore. Obviously rehab didnt take cuzzz..... My aunt did the same thing: drank herself to death and the world around her pretended it didn't happen. I was just a teenager when that happened. If people would take these issues seriously instead of ignoring them, a lot of people would still be alive!!
When Letterman, Leno and others first saw Robin Williams perform, they were awe struck, didn't know what to make of him and figured their careers as comedians were over. It's safe to say that there will never be another talent like Robin Williams.
I’ve got a question. What is up with Robin and Michael? Seems like most interviews I see he’s talking/joking about Michael Jackson. Also Robin Williams is truly a gift, sad to see him go.
...and what was funny after that Disneyland crack they suddenly had to go to a commercial producers probably got nervous over that " pedo" joke however unintentional ~
I so loved Robin...he was magic incarnate in all his iterations. He could take you anywhere in an instant. Always uplifting, such a dear soul. I'm envious of those that count him friend.
In High School, we were given an assignment to watch a TV show, and write a review of it. Well, I happened to watch the first episode of Mork and Mindy, and I was blown away. I remember writing that I thought that Robins' energy and spontaneity was off the charts, and I predicted he was going to be huge. The teacher thought I was way off, but man was she ever wrong! So funny.....he was one of a kind.
Wish he did do the Academy Awards. "Like giving Michael Jackson the keys to Disneyland." Think what he was saying, "It would be so good I'd wear myself out."
I can't express how much I will miss him, he is an inspiration for everyone and made a really big impact on me and I thank him for that. He will be loved for many generations to come. Nobody is like him; a one of a kind genius. You guys don't know how much his movies mean to me....I'm speechless at the thought that he's gone :( Rest In Peace and I hope your in a better and happier place now. Thanks Robin Williams for all your inspiration :)
I thank God for technology! Because of it, we have RU-vid where I can come when I need a laugh. Robin is always in here waiting for me to visit! My other stop is with Randy Rainbow, another comic genius of s different genre. Both of them make me laugh, which we need so much in this crazy world of ours. Stay safe, my friends. And visit Robin when things get you down!
Knowing what we know now, everytime I look at him performing I can't help thinking how he was feeling inside at this moment..... There will never be another one like him....
He had Lewy Body Disease (Fast onset) which didn’t set in until before he passed. He wasn’t a depressed person and he didn’t have this sadness lurking. Misconceptions about him floating around.
I'm glad I was able to see him perform. I'm glad for the people that will see and hear his words. I hope those people will share the experience however they can.
You can watch Robin over & over and never tire of his comedic mind. I think he was a genius. He absolutely shines off script. He doesnt need a script. He writes it in his head 2 seconds before it comes out of his mouth. Truly sad that he is gone but he left us a lifetime of fun behind for us to cherish. RIP Robin.
Robin gave us the gift of comedy from his imaginative and courageous mind. He also put heart and soul in his performances. Yes, there are numerous comics who will leave their mark for all time. Robin is one of them. Rest in peace Robin.
I remember I met him when he was filming jumanji, in maple ridge, bc. I was probably about 9. He signed a fitted cubs hat I had got because I was obsessed with the movie rookie of the year. I really wished I knew what kind of joke he could have cracked about signing the hat being before they won the recent World Series. I do remember he made time to greet all the kids who came by. He will forever be my favourite comedian. Best wishes to his family! Thanks for being the person you were Robin!
*I think he ranks as the most beloved and most amazing comedic character EVER. * and the guy had a heart of gold as well. everyone who knew him loved him.
There's been a large hole in the world ever since Robin left us. I remember watching him through the years, whenever you were down, one of his comedies would cheer you up. I agree with the statement that when he passed, it was akin to losing a family member. RIP Mr. Williams, thank you for the years of joy you brought into the world
İlter Kalkancı he hung him self a little while after he found out he had Parkinson's, look it up. I've watched everything he's ever been in since I could change the channel and most of his older stuff too.

It is called "Lewey Body Dementia". He was diagnosed at first as early stage Parkinsons. Before it was figured I mean.
I just wanna cry watching this. What an amazing talent Robin Williams was. Still can't believe he's gone!😢 But it's also makes me happy to know this genius of a man will forever be with us in film.
In interviews such as this one, you can see the zest for life he had then. Equally clear was the difference in his last few interviews, that twinkle in his eyes was gone. He was a one in a million gifted talent and I'm so sad he's gone.
He was a brilliant , wonderful , talented great person who could always make you laugh and bring out a smile , he'll always be missed and loved by all the people that loved him for all the joy he gave to all of us, love you Robin Williams forever.
What an amazing human being. Such pain inside and you'd never know it, so sad but what strength to take his pain hide it and make others feel joy and happiness. This man's ability to care for others over himself is something to be admired. What a human being
Love Robin Williams! He is s icon! I got Robin Williams genius dvd collection from time life! It is so sad that he is gone. Would have loved to meet him when he was still alive! I am a lifelong fan!
Pure Genius from this Brilliant,Brilliant Man! Our loss is Heaven's gain and he must have them rolling in the aisles and in stitches. Still so hard to believe he is no longer with us!! Robin, you left a deep hole,no, CRATER that will never, ever be filled!! Thank you for having been with us those many years!!
Steve Endicott couldn't of said it any better myself. Glad to see people really understand the difference between an amazing comic and the guys they have out now
Best comedian and quickest thinker ever ! Always the pedal to the metal as if it were normal ! After watching Robin Williams I had a hard time finding other comedians funny. It was like driving 100 mph and then slowing back down to 30 ! He was the best interview . Most hosts learned to tear up their questions after a few minutes with Robin. He was so full of energy , he was able to to appear distracted and leaped from character to character bouncing in and making them laugh. He had the ability to hit you with another before you could react to the joke before. He was so animated and focused as he bounced off the walls in every direction. Not being able to predict him was his strong point and then throw in hundreds of characters with different voices and real accents....He was amazing ! I found out after he died that most people felt the same way as I did about him. He was heaven sent , to make us laugh ....
You have to laugh when you think about that interview for the "Mork & Mindy" role. When he took off they must have been thinking, "What the hell was that?!!" I'll bet there was an interesting staff meeting reviewing that list of candidates!

There was nobody better, NEVER will there be. The man was Lightning Fast with his comedy. He always seemed like a seriously Nice and kind person with ADHD
I know I saw that in the theater and I wasn't used to him like that and his character actually made me cry I was so uncomfortable; thank God it was dark in there ; I had gone by myself.
I really miss Robin. Just months before his death, I was walking along the Basin, approaching the Capitol in DC when I bumped into him. Such a humble, good man.
Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman were the two deaths of celebrities that really affected me. I grew up with Hoffman in Almost Famous, The Savages, In Cold Blood, and Master and Commander. And Robin Williams was a big influence in my becoming a therapist and English major bc of Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets. These two men taught me that men can be sensitive, caring, have mental illness, be good dads, be sad, funny, a whole range of emotions. Robin Williams literally had multiple production teams hire homeless folks after his work on The Fisher King. Love you, Robin. You’re missed. Also who in the hell can beat Robin Williams in quickness, wit and intelligence?
Robin Williams is absolutely one of the greats and rest in peace godspeed Robin Williams and we miss you dearly you are one of the funniest people and funniest comedians stand-up and movie stars ever .
Robin William's greatest asset was his brain and for him to have developed a type of dementia (DLB), was obviously just too debilitating to contemplate. If I was in a similar situation, I think I would want to top myself too. To me, he was a genius and we should all thank the lucky stars we were able to live in and breath the same air as he.
Ken...I love you for saying that.....I suffer...as a viet nam vet...from Bipolar..like Robin...PTSD...and major depression...the only fking reason I haven't put a bullet in my fking head...is because I made a promise to all those who did not make it home...that I would live so they could see life thru my eyes.....I can't die.....I owe it to robin and all my brothers ans sisters.
If he'd hung on a little longer, maybe they'd have come up with a makes-you-21-again pill. That's what I'm waiting for. I don't know where we'll put everybody; but, as with everything else, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
I'm sure Barry Leach, you can see by the comments posted here, how much total strangers love and truly miss Robin Williams even though none of us knew him personally. We all feel the pain. Imagine , if you will, how painful it would be for those who DO know and love you personally, if you did top yourself. They would all feel guilt, for not having done more to save you. Hang in there and if it helps, feel the love and caring around you.
The humble stand-up made the world laugh. I improvised every second. He easily brought to tears Your viewer and your listener Robin Williams pedaled. And maneuvered through his life. Yes ... Responded to requests from his fans People like him are not born twice From "Happy Days" to "This is a fucking Christmas miracle" Many different roles have been played. Actor Robin Williams of various plans From comedies to snot Loved children and rare books Bicycles and computer games. Was also a geek of cinema Collected what touched him No conviction from suicide He could no longer make peace with himself. I miss him EVERY TIME i see and hear him. He suffered from mental illness as i have all my life. But he made the world laugh SO HARD despite his own inner pain. I love you Robin you are truly missed. A helluva actor and comedian but most of all human being.
Just watched the movie What Dreams May Come . Robin Williams truly the best there ever was, he did it all and I will always cherish his movies .. RIP Robin .
I grew up watching Jonathon Winters, who in my mind was the greatest improv comedian of all time. Then I saw Robin. Rest in peace. God has a front row seat to both of you performing. Lucky Him.
Have you ever seen both Winters and Williams together? As both were amazing improv comics, they fed off of each other to a point of bedlam. They were hysterical together!
Would you want to host the Oscars? "Never ... There are people who are made for that and then there are ... others". What a great answer, but it would have been a once in a lifetime show if he ever hosted it. And then he says, "It's like giving Michael Jackson the keys to Disneyland". So, so funny!!

I / we all miss you Robin,, I know you are keeping everyone in heaven in stitches,,, God bless you Robin, our world is a much emptier without you in it. If ya can't be good Robin be careful.
I know, as you also should, that Robin did´nt want to be related to yours nor other imaginary friends so pls, keep ya blessings far away from Mr Williams memory. Thank you.
Robin was not just a comedic genius but an incredible actor as well he could do serious roles like good will hunting and the very versatile Mrs Doubtfire. I'm jealous of heaven, cause they have him now. I'm sure he's filling a sort of role cheering up broken hearted souls. A funny funny guy who could have you laughing in seconds. R.I.P. Robin Williams.
There was no one better than Robin Williams, he was a comic genius. RIP Robin, may you have found peace in heaven that you couldn’t find here on earth.
i DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE EVER LAUGHED AS MUCH AS I DO WHEN I WATCH ROBIN; HE WAS HILARIOUS; HOW WOULD ANYBODY KNOW THAT HE SUFFERED FROM THE BRAIN DISORDER LEWY BODY SYNDROME. HE'S PROBABLY TELLING JOKES IN HEAVEN! ROBIN, YOU ARE SO MISSED AND SO LOVED!!
