They actually didn’t see the mine, as in cartoons about a quarter of it is sticking out the water (I think), they just knew they hit it due to the impact, but a few survivors of the HMHS Britannic said it was a torpedo that sank it.

It's from the plugin "The Free Orchestra" (you need kontakt for it to function). I increased the velocity to add more tension and for it to stand out unlike the percussion in the expository part.
