A little tip for late game, if you want to be able to survive Rush and Ambush during the later rooms then you need to not get into lockers so quickly. Wait until you hear Rush right on top of you (there’s the low growl you can hear from far and the high pitch screech for nearby) and you hear the louder screechy sound. If you don’t then Hide will get you as the amount of time you can hide before getting thrown out in the latter half of Floor 2 is extremely small.
@leroyspeelt Actually he isn’t fast or slow randomly, instead he seems to randomly stop moving at the start of some rooms which can mess with your timing. I’ve seen this many times where his audio just stops for a second before starting up again, signifying this mixup.
i'm also pretty sure ambush doesn't come up in the mines, as if you leave the locker if you enter back in hide will kick you out it'd be extremely hard to live in singleplayer and with 2 or more people probably impossible
@thecat5215 No Ambush still shows up. What you end up needing to do is move between lockers/dumpsters each time he goes forward and back. I was helping a friend and Ambush spawned, so the two of us had to hide and every time Ambush did his cycle, we got out and swapped hiding spots, since Hide is client-side so only lockers you’ve been in are unusable. Then just repeat until Ambush is done
i need a two hour long video of these three goofballs just chatting to each other and doing the longest witty banter ever, it's honestly so entertaining
The one door with figure is not that hard you were just way to scared to turn the first corner or you know back up to the side door when figure is slowly walking across its set path.

⚠THEORY⚠ There is a theory going around that Screech is actually a past giggle, covered in Seek ink. If you look closely at Screech, you can see that the area around it's mouth looks a lot like Giggle, plus they both have tentacles. "Screech" and "Giggle" is also two different variants of "laughing" and "screaming", but also very similar. *FLOOR 2 SPOILER BELOW, WHICH WASN'T SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO* - - - Grumble is a matured Giggle which is found in door 150. While giggle, giggles (haha), Grumble laughs, mainly because they are matured Giggles. At the end cutscene of Floor 2 The Mines, we actually see Seek overtaking the Queen Grumble, which will probably transform the Queen Grumble into a potential "Scream", or at least a "Matured Screech", however, we don't see the Queen Grumble move after getting overtaken by Seek. But hey, that's just a Game Theory! Thanks for reading! *Entities description below* *Screech = The "Psst" guy* *Giggle = The little guy that giggles and waits on the ceiling to jump on your face* *Seek = The entity you run from in a chase sequence* - *Entities that wasn't shown in this video, below* - - - *Grumble = Matured/Grown up Giggle*
It's funny how much their theory about predicting floor 2 was wrong. Obviously, it was just a theory, but it's still one of those theories that aged badly in a good way.
@@luckydemonneet That makes sense, but they've covered topics like cannibalism before, and with the game's 3rd chapter rumored to being released on Halloween, would be neat to see it.
@@Tcoaalfan666 cannibalism wasn't my main concern and judging but your pfp you probably know what I'm talking about even if that route is optional Twitter people will go mad if they play it which is a shame because I also like the game
Guiding Light's words when MatPat drowned pretty much confirms the whole 'Who is "She"' debate from the Backdoor. Curious light says that '"She" said we should call that one Blitz' when you die to Blitz in the Backdoor. Therefore, it can be assumed that Curious Light has been given information from this "She" character. If you die to the vacuum in the Backdoor, Curious Light will mention how it thinks humans need oxygen to survive, which was information likely given by Guiding Light. Therefore, this "She" character is Guiding Light, as she wanted to confirm her hypothesis on humans' need for oxygen.
The Monty Hall problem only applies when the person who opens the door knows what's behind them. That person purposefully chooses the door that doesn't have a prize behind it, but when you're just randomly selecting then the random odds apply.
It isn't a horror game or really related to one, but you should play Don't Starve Together. It does have a whole story that I think would also be cool to see on Game Theory. I am going to comment this on every video from this point on until it is played. 1 BTW the together is part of the name and that is the version of the game with the most content without needing to spend money on a ton of DLC.
I just burst out laughing bc when ash said "maybe it is actually an upper floor because things are just-" and then a brawl stars ad played and the first word was DINO with rock music and it was hilarious
MAT PAT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TURN UP YOUR DPI! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR MOUSE HITTING THE DESK OVER AND OVER CALL IT AMBUSH! Love your content don't take this as a hate comment just please let me keep my ears...
I know you’re already trying to come up with theories for this new floor, and I already have thousands, some from other theory videos about this new floor and others are my own theories; For example, all the entities are secretly having a war going on between them and that Screech is just a giggle that has been taken over by seek. But like I said I have many more theories for this game so ask me if you want to know more!(Of course you’re not the one running your theory channel anymore but can you tell the one that is running the channel about this comment so he can make a new theory video?)
So a good tip for if the situation happens again with the fake doors, 115 is ALWAYS figure tutorial so you'll know, also can't wait for your theory on the ending, and the visible thing in that ending
I would like to see you react to school bus graveyard it's a comic about how a group of teens always waking up to a parallel version of their world filled with monsters after they fall asleep and when they wake up they feel any injuries they took while in that parallel version
retired when you are still working is not retired, you just switched jobs. At best retired specifically from being face of the channel but definitely not just retired.
Has anyone suggested bad parenting yet? I heard it's a great psychological horror but no one i watch has made a video on it so im gonna wait till mat makes one 🔥
Mat after hearing noises from door 118: It's not 118. Mat after grabbing band aids: I'm feeling good with 118. *Opens up door 188 and it's a dupe door*
6:14 don't worry we understand: this channel is for watching you discuss about certain topics, and we are well aware that those don't have to be directly related to the video title.
Also, there are a few noticeable changes to floor 1 now as well. Halt now has his own room (a dining room). The infirmary room has had a complete redesign; Jeff from Jeff’s shop now looks different; There are also changes with animations, notably figure (has a new walk cycle); and Dupe: (Now actually has arms and reaches out to grab you when you get a door wrong. This also applies if the crucifix is used on him); There are is now a new death screen too (you appear to be underwater as Guiding Light speaks to you, judging by the bubbles).
I know Help! is a very niche Beatles song but ""When I was a younger, so much younger than today I never needed anybody's help in any way but now these days are gone I'm not so self assured Now I find I've changed my mind And opened up the **doors**"" to Ash on Beatles about doors...
i immediately thought of that one paul mcartney song that’s like: “someone’s knocking on the door someone’s ringing the bell do me a favor open the door and let ‘em in” i don’t think it counts as a beatles song though 😭😭
