Yeah I had this feeling that guiding light might be whats blocking seek from kicking down the door after his chase like whats stopping him from just going through that door and continuing the chase considering the fact guiding light is there through the entire chase
yeah and guiding light also blocks figure in door 100 but he breaks the door when u finish also if u try to go back the doors will close beacuse guiding light doesnt want you to get killed by glitch and thats why u get a speed boost if the other players are in front of u he basically tries to help everytime.
One thing I'd like to note, avoiding calling people players tends to make things more immersive. Instead is saying deceased players, you can simply day "The deceased." And get a more immersive effect that also rolls off the tongue better. But hey, I'm just a clown, I dont make analogue horror.
Not only is the "Guding light" a helpful and friendly being that tells us how to avoid the entities that we encounter and show us the correct door in dark room and seek's chase. But its also like a presence that gives you comfort. Like among all the madness surviving the entities. Its kinda nice how something watches over you. Helping you and guiding you, Making sure you don't die. Makes you feel like someone truly cares about you and protecting you the best they can. Like even after you die the guiding light is like "Hey, Its okay. You're safe now. Don't worry you can try again. Rest as much you want. Try again when you're ready. I know you'll do better".

i like how the creepy parts you sometimes have, says, in this video, "protect your loved ones from it". and the fact that it interrupts some information from the video makes me feel a sort of way... a way that makes me think there's a monster that really wants you to stay as uninformed as possible. it tries to block off information so you don't know everything, and, in this video, tries to spin the thought of the guiding light not being such a guidance.
I like this videos. It works as a stylish guide on the entities using one of the things i found interesting some months ago. Only thing i don't really like is the jumpscares(?), not being related to anything in-game and being pretty predictable (being able to see when it will be interrupted on the subtitles). Other than that is a cool idea and a nice way to introduce mechanics to new players

It doesn’t have a jumpscare It makes it so each time you die in dark rooms the dark room lights get brighter If you die 5 times in a dark room you will die because it becomes blinding light and blinds you and you die to another entity your unable to see
A little thing that's definitely been said already, guiding light also appears in Room 50 (The Library) to illuminate the books you need. Also, guiding light makes a quiet but noticeable shining sound when players get close to where the guiding light is (take for example the books in Room 50 or around keys in locked rooms).

I like to think that the guiding light also plays a major role in protecting the player from halt, a huge hallway filled with guiding light so the player could see the ghost which otherwise would be dangerous without vision or direction That or the player is hallucinating after being exposed to guiding light so much that it deals major psychological damage

backstory of ga : ga is an entity from heaven that was chosen to not let any monster escape from the hotel now:it was raining you need some shelter suddenly you saw a portal . you walk inside it looks like a hotel lobby you step inside one of the elevators ...... the ga saw you and wonder how ;did the player get here^ the ga decided to lead you to the exit (and thats how the main story begins )
Ngl I'm starting to get the feeling that there's lore associated with these tapes. Like how it said experimental studies found something out about Guiding Light but it got interrupted. As if someone or something has messed with the tapes to prevent players from surviving the Hotel. Idk just a theory lol
a slightly lesser-known thing about Guiding Light when you're near keys there's a faint shimmering noise (most easily heard in Room 1) and in Room 50's library, the books you need to get also have the same shimmering noise

If you’re in room 100, after figure check every closets, he’ll go out the room, and then get locked out there. And after he go out, we can still hear foot step, but that’s not footstep, that the sound of figure banging on the door trying to get in, could it be guiding light lock figure out side?
