Screech will always spawn directly behind the player, and be either above over below that area. Whenever leaving a dark room, or when you hear a psst, always do a direct 180 and look up and down for screech. Easiest way to get rid of it.
Not exactly directly behind you, just not where you’re looking so usually it’s right behind you but it could also be slightly just out of frame under and above you
I think some element of analog horror you forgot was that you aren’t supposed to show the monster. The descriptions and instructions to avoid it shapes it’s own image in the human mind, making analog horror truly scary.
True, but let's say that the people that made the videos (VHS tapes), have already encountered the entities, and named them and such. So they know what they look like and made videos (VHS tapes) for new people. In that case the videos would be like this, I don't really know about the "creepy" part of the tapes where a weird face appears and talks, sometimes you can't understand them but sometimes you can. Also I haven't really watched analog horror so my "theory" probably isn't true.
The horror of these isn't really that style. It's comes in the later videos, where the vagueness, cut offs, and mysterious parts is meant to be the horror. The rest is just blatant information in a VHS style.
"We have a new invention... a great companion to all human kind... DOORS! With doors, you can play hide and seek with huggy, mommy, poppy and all the other toys!"
Little tip even once you leave a dark room there's a chance he can appear for a short period after a room this is bad especially when paired with rush who doesn't give you much time before you need to hide
@@sonichasyouripaddress980 I’m not sure if I and the other guy completely missed your joke but these videos aren’t meant to actually explain but rather simulate the analog horror feel similar to things like the mandela catalogue
@@ConfusionUwU i said it wrong okay i get it holy shit, but hes telling people how he works, signs of attacks, and how to get rid of him. And i shortened that video into one word, now stop it with this “oh he didnt explain”
@@sonichasyouripaddress980 Screech is not annoying tbh it makes dark rooms better. Without screech, dark rooms would just be normal rooms but... well... dark.
Not many ppl noticed but SCREECH is even capable of shaking your screen. You see many ppl ask why SCREECH appeared when they were in light rooms. Welp that comfirmed my suspicion. Screech has diff ways of spawning. 1. Shaking your screen then proceeds to say PSST to launch the attack immediately. 2. Normally says PSST when it appears. 3. Makes a strange noises (idk what it sound like exactly but it like how you move your camera which makes a noise to the audio) The number 1 and 3 is convincing enough and prob answers people's questions on why SCREECH appeared in light rooms
honestly i like to think of screech as not one entity but dozens and they don't hide in dark rooms they nest and they don't hover the latch on from one controlled spot with a screeched out organ and when it snaps that lets the other get ready just kinda cooler I think
Wow thanks for the confirmation! Sometimes I get attacked by Screech without hearing the "psst" sound and I can't tell whether it's just me or the game.
I only play doors with a friends specifically one that has a very echoy Mic so I can hear his game so when I hear "psst" I look frantically to reallise my friend is being stack by screech
Hello! Thank you for introducing analog horror to me I loved analog horror for the longest time and you introduced me to it I didn’t know about doors first time I watched this so so thought these were backrooms lol
this is an informative video concerning the entity screech, please follow this video tape to gain as much information about the entity, screech is an spherical charachter with several tentacles and glowing eyes it also has a wide mouth with human enlarged like-teeth, the entity is able to hover in the stable position above the ground and it is able to inflict major damage to players, Screch appears in natural dark rooms, it’s appearance is unstable and could happen anytime, screech appears anywhere around players and they stay passive until the signs of attack appear. Signs of approach attack include: Staying in dark rooms for a long period of time, Hearing a mimicked calling noise and feeling strangely watched. If a player experiences any of these previous signs, quickly look around your environment and find the entity and look at it directly. If you are successful screech will scream and leave the area. However, if it’s a failure, screech will proceed to bite the player dealing significant damage to it, it is advised to obtain a light source, as it significantly decreases the chance of screech appearing in dark rooms. It is also advised to stay in dark rooms for the least amount of time possible. Please note that the entity will be present with no signs of attack necessary. So players are advised to look around them constantly. Thank you for watching this informative video, have a great run… AND DONT DIE!
Technically you should probably wait for a sign and then quickly look around rather than the much more famous tactic of *frantically moving your mouse around the second you're in the room.*
The ‘psst’ sound Screech makes can also be heard as a sound effect. If you hear the noise yet you’re not in a fully dark room, it’s most likely not real.
imagine if they add video tapes every door that comes across an incoming entity or they even add a tutorial elevator so new players would understand more if they want to or if they dont wanna spoil themselves
Idk if this was apart of the 3rd appearance thing but Screech makes a almost hard to hear snake like sound when trying to creep up on a player and when you hear that sound your screen starts to shake a tad bit then that when the "PSST" sound starts
would be cool to find tapes and then place them on a tv in room 0 (the room thats outside of the elevator idk) then be able to see these informative videos
Hey, I like your videos and i want to make analog horror VHS videos like you do. what editing app do you use to make your videos? i find them very interesting. infact, these videos are very smart too! they have some kind of effect that makes the game itself significantly scarier than it's original form. the elements of analog horror are extremely intelligent and can't be beaten in any form. analog horror should win some kind of award.
Screech always makes a little buzzing sound that becomes louder but stays low, then is says "psst" and proceed to attempt to attack, I looked at it many times without it having to "psst" at me thanks to the buzzing noise.
I remember I had a dream on March 22, 2023. It was Doors VHS. There were nightmare animatronics and rush. It was cool and it was like I saw this dream 2 times .... But still cool and realistic like this video
i think i have an ideea for a entity that gives this kind of information. If you are ok with the doors devs allowing to use your videos, i will try asking them adding an entity called "Television" that appears only in around 85 to 122 rooms. (if there will be) the chances of it spawning will be around 30%, and it spawns on a table. in the drawers of the table will always be a tape that includes any of these tapes you made. it is not like the other entities, it is an object, and in dark rooms it will be lighted by Spirit
I played doors for the first time today and i got to a dark room and suddenly heard a psst and right after got jumpscared. dude, that was so unexpected that i literally slammed my headphones so quick
