Roblox doesn't always do bad updates, so far as roblox has actually been pumping out some decent updates, such as increasing the block limit, voice chat, the new verification which is a bit controversial but I think most people will like it, and the roblox jobs update which i forgot what it was called but yeah

Idk about 2010 cuz I joined in 2015 but I would count myself as an old player, not ORIGINAL or a veteran, but a player who would count as a higher rank then most of roblox's players, but I have to say 2015-2019 was a fun time, because Roblox wasn't over developed, to the point where it's virtual real life, or where it was simply stud blocks, but the sweet spot really, everything was perfect, but it would've been really cool to discover Roblox before 2015, the things JUST before my time was plain, but insane how fun it could be, some people say the old games were trash, or some other reason but when I play games from 2014 and earlier, I realised Roblox used to be based on the fact you played with good people, and rather then acknowledge it was just a bunch of simple parts you get in the studio put together, (but ngl some og games are made so well, and the fact that there was less resources makes it even more shocking) but most of them, was simple small scripts and simple concepts, but your friends, the people that shared the experience with you made it unforgettable, nowadays all these animation mocap and ttd games are consuming Roblox simply because they are more developed,I believe more developed isn't the best, the simple games are usually where big games get ideas from (NOT ALWAYS) but the big games (except from an exceptional few) don't make me happy, because I know that some sort of hardwork went into new games, but older games have a sense of creativity because it was original and had extra hardwork because the people who made the og games didn't have the same privileges, so I'd be glad to play a blocky game knowing the game maker must of put twice the amount of work then someone else did in a newer Roblox game
2015 can be considered a veteran, honestly anything 2018 and before can be considered veteran imo, i joined in 2015, then my account disappeared, forgot all about it, don't remember the password or it got hacked, probably hacked, i think i stopped playing then came back in 2017, but you're right, the community was soo much better back then which is what made roblox what it was, now it's almost filled with shit games, shit updates, simulators, tycoons, not to mention all the toxic people and slenders there are, old roblox was so much better i just miss it so much the more i think about it, i remember playing a game called redwood prison and meeting this guy named goldfish, there was more to his user i just don't quite remember, he was one of the people i met in around 2016 - 2017, roblox was so special back then, there are still great people but if i'm gonna be honest there are more and more slenders every single day, they mostly stay in their own shitty games, but some of them like to invade the good games, they're honestly all just toxic and annoying imo, and the games from old roblox are just so damn nostalgic, it's just, i wish i could go back, i know ive already said this but i miss it, miss it alot.

The reality is roblox has been on a steady decline in community since like 2015, I wasn't really around for most of roblox history, I played as a guest for a bit in 2014, played on the xbox in 2016ish, played on PC (literally only played speed run 4) in 2018 staying as a bacon the whole time and making loads of alts, played a little in 2019 and made my new main account that I still use till this day in march of 2020. However I am still aware of "old roblox" and "new roblox" and the differences in which they possessed. My belief is the mainstreamness of technology, the web and roblox as a platform is the true reason we now have cringe slenders populating the modern mainstream of the game. See as roblox has become more and more available it has attracted more and more types of kids (most being between 8-15) these kind of kids are not the kind of kids simply browsing through the internet looking for something fun to play and accidentally stumbling upon roblox through some advert on youtube or some other website. These are the kind of kids that set out to play roblox as its the latest mainstream succsess all there friends are using. As such all the toxic brats and idiots of my generation and gen Alpha now sign up and use the platform which is why it is soooo much more toxic and even now has a popularity status, with C&P and slenders being at the top and everyone else being at the bottom. The kids roblox was built for (the techy nerds who want to make games) are now the ones being made fun off and harassed as they are the ones at the bottom of the school hierarchy irl. Where as before it was just the Techny nerds who wanted to make games on the platform. This is just my opinion and as mentioned I wasn't really around for the early days but I like to think that I know at least a little about what it was like back then and I 100% know what its like now. To be honest, old roblox may have been good, but i still think present roblox is way better, r15 really opened up better animation for roblox but some sticked to r6. I still remember the times oh good old 2014 man a great year. But to be honest if i were to play games from 2014 i'd get bored quick, there's truly some more interesting games other than just eating a cookie. Toxicity and a bad community is not roblox's fault, the bad moderation is understandable because well, roblox is a really big platform. So if we're to be given an option to either stay in 2021 or go back in 2014, i'd mostly pick 2021 roblox just for the better games. Thank you for reading.
