My dad found this arcade game broken down when he got an old warehouse for work. He fixed it and brought it home. I remember my brother and I would take turns playing for hours. Watching this made me feel so nostalgic right now.
My dad found an old rabbit alongside the road. My brother and I nursed it back to health over an entire summer. Soon, she was healthy and likely mated with a wild rabbit!!! One day we got home from school, and the rabbit was gone. My dad said he took her to get an abortion. Dinner that night turned out to be rabbit “veal” so to speak. My dad kept doing this and doing this until the old girl’s uterus was blown.

Wow. When I was a kid I used to watch this one guy play this over and over at Haven holidays caravan park, and just stand in awe at how awesome he was! He literally aimed for perfect speed runthroughs, if he took one hit or missed one target, he'd just quit and start over. What a legend.

This was truly one of the best video games based on a movie I've ever seen. The music was just like in the movie. the SNES version of "Batman Returns" was really good too.
+Marvin Wicks Also, the arcade version of the first Batman follows the movie nearly to a t. I always wondered how they made arcade games look completely digital compared to the home console versions.
My mom took me to see RoboCop in theaters. Then later on I played this game in the mall Arcade when it came out. I never got this far cause my parents capped my budget at $20 for quarters. I had to ration my quarters carefully for the games I wanted to play. Those were the days. Another thing I wanna say is this Arcade version is very faithful to the movie. Naturally there had to be some modifications in order for it work as a video game. But it’s graphics and gameplay are definitely inspired by the film. It’s straight forward, responsive, and very pleasing to the eyes. I personally give it a 10.
Um dos melhores Robocop. Talvez, o melhor! A Nintendo fez alguns jogos, mas não ficaram tão legais. Idem para a Sega. Jogava isso aí no Fliperama, massa demais!
I used to play this game at the 7-11 before I got to school and after till I defeated it. Such a cool game and thanks for posting this, it brought back memories.
Favourite movie of all time. I remember playing this one in the old Timezone arcade in Perth before seeing a movie in school holidays back in around 1991. It was tucked away in the back of the arcade but was always my go-to game.
Be walking through the arcade something like 34 years ago and just randomly out of nowhere hearing Murphy - "drop it!" . It overpowered all of the other arcade game's volume everytime.
I remember passing the whole game with one quarter, but it took a long time to get to that point, after that, everyone would just pay me to watch me pass it all...
I remember going to 711 and playing this game after school. "$5 in quarters please." I'd say to the cashier and buy some candy bars for energy. This video got me right in the feel~goods. Thanks
I remember exactly where this game was placed at one of the game centres I used to go to as a child. I think I only played it once or twice, it was a little difficult for me but I liked to watch the older boys play it because it allowed me to see the progress of the game. I don't know if I am the only one but Robocop has always felt a little eerie to me which is part of its charm.
I was born in kuwait & i still remembered that fucking awesome vedio game my mother always supported me to finish it & did it. R. I. P mom miss u so much your son.
My dad use to habe emulated arcade games on his pc one them was this still one of my favorite arcade games to this day I managed to beat the game only ones
It's impressive, the improvement the games had in the 80's from very simple games where we used to shot and hit little dots, in in few years games like this came out. sound and graphics.
It was the late 80s. And whenever we were in the area, I’d drag my Dad to the chip shop on Brixton hill. Most of the time not to buy chips, but to play THIS arcade machine. I’m getting the feels 😢
Robocop 1:Serve The Public Trust 2: Protect The Innocent 3: Uphold The Law Drop It Your Move Creep You All Arrest Thank You For Your Cooperation Murphy
This and Wonderboy were the two arcade machines that i dropped the most coins in when i was a kid. I got all of these arcades now on a console that hooks up to the TV and get to play these with my son, but i am way more excited to do so than him.
Sounds like a current trap song melody in the beginning. I remember playing this on an arcade system at the cleaners below us on 51st street in Chicago. Memories.
Damm the good ole days, contra, bayou Billy, excitebike, karate kid. Classics 😂😂😂 that's when you could die in a game by people just running into you😂😂😂
I absolutely adore this game; my favourite arcade title. In my neighbourhood the local shop had arcades and would switch it out every 6mths or so. When this came in I was hooked and became a minor celebrity (for about 5mins) as I became the first to beat it in a single credit. The only time in my life where it was like a movie and the crowd kept growing as word spread. Was around 35-40 people around the cabinet by the final boss fight.
I remember my dad playing this game to me to fall asleep.Btw for those that wants to play tha game install mame 32 it has TONS of arcade games and robocop!
This game brought me back good memories at the arcade 🤔🤔🤔I always had a crowd around me I always defeated the game with one ☝️ quoter coin 🪙(don’t move crip)
I spend a lot of money on this at our local grill. I can still smell the french fries when I think about it.. This game was super hard, and if you used all the big sniper guns ammo before the first boss, then you where screwed 😁
nice. getting far on one coin truly consists on a single tactic - Learning not to go all "Rambo" (a.k.a. rushing) into a possibly dangerous scenario where you're likely to be outgunned
