I absolutely love your review! It's great because I can see you took the time to understand how the robot works. One question about the dirty water tank - do you do anything special to keep that clean? I saw one review where the guy would empty it after every mop and then leave the top open so it would dry out. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
I measured mine and it’s 3L not 2.5L, and I have a house bigger than yours and I don’t need to fill up the water tank every day. Change the options, the wash mode for the mope on station put in minimum, and for the robot put the mope intensity in minimum too, it’s wet not dry, it will last all week
That dust bag would fill up sooo fast for me. I have the Xiaomi Roborock S4, and it’s honestly the one thing preventing me from losing my sanity when my dog blows his coat. There’s so much fluff EVERYWHERE, and it mitigates that a lot. Been really interested in this model, will probably keep an eye out for a sale.
You have to get the automatic emptying dock. Then you break the rooms up into smaller chunks and manually divide up the rooms, and then you record how long it takes to do each room and double it, and then you schedule it that amount of time apart. So that after each section of your living room for example, it will then go back to the dock and vacuum it out and then leave and continue doing its thing. If you get the plus model there's an option for a cyclone dustbin
Great review! I have a one question though. I want to put it under a shelf. How much space/height, in your opinion, it needs to have, to take out all three containers without much hassle? Cheers!
@@madsncakes nice! Loved watching it! you pointed out some interesting disadvantages compared to the mega big bucket one. but the fact that it's not that big is actually good for smaller homes :) I'm gonna keep an eye on that :) Thanks MADS! Excellent review as always
Is it possible to use this dock and the autoempty dock together and send the robot to the bagless dock for dust, and to the Ultra dock for mop washing ?
@@lonxay What would be great is that roborock sells a dock with only mop wash (like the one for the G10) and make it compatible with the S7 MaxV and enable an option to use both docks.
Will it be able to climb in and out of the service yard if I wanted to put it in the service yard ? Haha because BTO service yard got this slope to separate the kitchen and service yard 🤔
Hi mads, can you do me a favor. Check with the app allows no washing of mop option? I have 2 floors. So 2nd may have to just carry the robot up to do the job instead the whole dock too
If you take only the robot upstairs, of course it will mop without washing the mop, however if the Space is Big, it will spread dirt all over instead of cleaning or you would have to change the mop After each room.
@@theattorney6072 thanks. I am just concern would it say error, couldn't find the dock to wash the mop pad before it can even finishes the 2nd floor. So i was just wondering if the app allows no washing of mop pad mode
I did a cursory Google search and the result is kind of split. On one hand I’ve seen clear instructions not to do so, on the other I’ve seen an article mentioning that Roborock teamed up with a detergent manufacturer to create a detergent specifically for the machine. I’d lean towards no, though. My S4’s mop is more about cleaning off any extra dust that might be on the floors, and doesn’t really replace a proper mopping. The robot is more about holding you over between proper cleaning sessions. The robots can’t really scrub all that well, nor do they get corners, so you will eventually need to clean manually anyway. For me though it means I can vacuum and mop once a week even when my dog is shedding, otherwise it’s a daily or twice-daily thing if I want to keep the place clean.
@@madsncakes googled some say yes too but did not show how. Got a resale 5yrs MOP and the house was bare.. somewhat like purchasing a BTO. Gamble on it so open the packaging to try.. yup able to run it without WIFI but since we cannot perform schedule cleaning.. means once it runs through the whole house.. it will just sit idle afterwards. Only when we press again at the robot, then it will cleaning again. Need to press on it manually.. Found a solution by personal hotspot one of the phone so we can establish a wifi connection.. then we could do schedule cleaning and all adjustments.. the robot performs well indeed.. flooring feels cleaner now.. next week will start renovations.. lols will be dusty again.. lols.. Thanx Mads for the awesome review and explainations
