These two vacuums are the top tier robot vacuums from Roborock. The MaxV Ultra features truly impressive AI cleaning that leaves competitors at a disadvantage. It has one of the better implemetions of navigation and obstacle avoidance we have tested to date. It's also very good at its core functions of cleaning and mopping. The Max Ultra is also a great robot vacuum, and is worth considering if you don't advanced obstacle detection and avoidance. Can you turn the auto drying off if you want? Can you hear the drying, is it loud? Does the drying make the room more hot? Thanks for the video

You can turn it off. Makes some sound, not too much. It will never heat up your room.

It’s not very loud at all. It does not heat up the room. It’s very gentle. I’m not sure you can turn it off, but I don’t think you’d want to because you want to avoid bacteria creating an odor on a wet pad.

I just got the S7 max ultra. Would it be worth it to upgrade to the S8 MaxV? I'm mainly interested in the mopping performance. Thanks for the awesome review!

I'd keep the S7. It's very good. I like the S8, but I don't think it's worth upgrading just yet. The performance is better, but not massively better.

Something I saw another reviewer mention was the base did not draw enough power to consistently dry at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Not sure what you saw in your testing.

I didn't test the air temperature, but the mop pads dried in a few hours.

I don’t think the problem was the air not heating up, it’s the mop washing that’s not heating up the water to 140 degrees. I believe it’s only heating up the water to around 100 degrees.

@@aspj5132I didn’t test the water temperature either and the best I’d be able to do would be to test the temperature of the mop pads since there’s no access to the hot water exit on the robot itself. The mop pads are definitely warm.

@@vacuumnerds Jamie tested it in his review, the water indeed does not hit 140 degrees. The hottest he was reading was 100 degrees.

Very nice video, I also purchased this Robot, I have a polished very shiny porcelain marble effect floor (Carrara). The first wash carried out with the maximum water level, everything went well, without streaks or streaks. Now even at the minimum level it seems to leave puddles behind it, what could this cause? Thanks in advance for your help greetings

I'm not sure. Maybe there is something stuck under the mop pad? Take a look at the bottom of the robot or try to figure out where the excess water is coming from.

reactive AI obstacle recognition is Also in the 6MAXV but its not in the 8MAX Ultra? I was thinking of getting the 8 pro ultra but if its less capable then thats a problem.

The models with V (vision) have a camera and are dramatically better at obstacle avoidance.

I feel like the content has potential (the presenter has a charismatic personality, good voice and they’re nice to watch). However, it doesnt really feel like a video from someone called ”Vacuum Nerds”. There amount of hard data that’s well comparable is limited and the test methodology is questionable. Developing a suite of effective and well-standardized tests and running the robots over these would give both easily comparable data between the models, as well as add credibility to the videos. This felt more like a sponsored review.

yeah there could have been also a corner test with debris to test the flexiarm, or mopping tests with different types of dry stains, or how well the stations cleanup the mops, just to name a few things missing

which one to choose? S8 MaxV Ultra dreame l20 ultra x2 omni t30 pro omni I have 2 cats and no carpets in the apartment, but it is terribly cluttered

With a lot of clutter I'd say S8 MaxV Ultra. Navigation and obstacle avoidance are very good. No robot is perfect, but it's pretty solid. I haven't tested the L20, but the L30 is great overall, however it's a lot more money. I have 2 cats, and having a robot helps a lot.

They copied iRobot with the 2 roller design, which makes me angry in a way Just tell me if I'm wrong on this, although they will tell you that they didn't of course
